If this becomes in “in person”, the assumption Flav would have to go to London, without a consideration of Jim getting on the M4 is crazy. I wouldn’t be having that Flav

Who's even buying Reece James? The guy hasn't played over 30 league games in a season for 3 years. He's not fit enough for teams to want to buy him for any significant fee. Chelsea would be better off trying to sell Colwill if they wanted a big money transfer.

Had to double check the Richarlison scoring 9 on the bounce in the league because it didn't sound right at all. Richarlison has scored 4 on the bounce in the league and 2 on the bounce in all competitions. That is the most epic of reframes from Flav.

Challanges to get to a football game- Africa United- The extraordinary story of three Rwandan kids who walk 3000 miles to the Soccer World Cup in South Africa. Using a sack load of ingenuity and sass (and a World Cup wall chart for a map), our pint-sized protagonists set off through the endless horizons of Africa in pursuit of an unlikely dream. And as they walk they gather a tribe - a ragamuffin team - of broken and brilliant characters who help them negotiate a way through a series of glorious, dangerous, hilarious and often bizarre situations. Through these kids, we will encounter an Africa few people ever get to see; experience the hard reality of an epic walk through seven countries; as well as the joy, laughter and hope - 'the ubuntu' - that comes from making an incredible journey together.

I tried to make a bet with a West Ham mate of mine that Son & Richarlison would both get 15 goals this season. Cos i said they would both do well under Big Ange (we live in New Zealand so we knew first hand what he had done in the A-League) and he said i was nuts. I tried to stick $200 on it and he declined... whenever Richy missed a sitter early season he messaged immediately things like "Golden Boot Winner Richarlison". I haven't heard much from him recently... Also... as a Spurs fan i was waking up at 3am or 4am with work the next day to watch the boring Conte football and questioned my life choices.

I don't get the massive arguement about "Arteta has spent so much". Since Arteta came in Arsenal have spent 678m Euros, whilst Spurs have spent 664m Euros I know Spurs have a better net spend because they sold Kane etc but the narrative of Arteta spending soooo much is just wrong, I expect nothing less from Flav when it comes to Arsenal though

In regards to the potential introduction of the blue card, the game is just totally lost. I’m not a fan of big ange whatsoever but he nailed in when asked about them in his presser. The game isn’t just drifting away from its core values, the ship has sailed off into the horizon. I really fear it’s irretrievably lost. I’ve been a season ticket holder with my dad & brother going on 20 years now, after a contentious decision and the initial anger has settled down, my dad will always turn to me and ask ‘is that still a handball/offside/foul now lad?’ I’ve usually been able to quite confidently respond with an idea of what I understand are the laws of the game. But now, I truly don’t know either and it’s not through ignorance or lack of trying and I’m not alone. I’m not sure any regular attending football fan truly knows what is or isn’t an offence any more. There is a culture of confusion, anger and we’ll all around apathy and the laws continue to get more obtuse and confusing, I must stress in particular for the match going fan of a lower league side. Watching a premier league game on tv you can hear the discussion played out live and hear the debate, at the match we simply don’t know any more and I think it’s only going to continue to get so much worse. Anyway, $4 a pound I’ve said my piece.

You talk about the negative of signing young players but the two 'senior' players in Sterling & Silva were the weak links. Poch finally wakes up and drops them and it's the best we've looked all season. The recruitment has been fine mostly. I'd say Mudryk was the only real stinker. You obviously both like Poch but he's far more to blame in all of this than you let on.

Trent is not an otherworldly "complete player" where you can rip him out of that team, and he'd dominate for anyone. I think if you put him at spurs, arsenal, chelsea etc he probably gets torn to shreds. But at the top with teams like liverpool and city that are so system dependent and about everyone utilising strengths it works.. yes he can't defend great, but it's apart of the system that the team will cover for him. Similar can be said about Ederson at man city, supposedly mediocre shot stopper but amazing with ball at feet. Would be absolutely horrendous for Brentford, but that's irrelevant because he's plays for the man city system and is perfect for what they need. You can't compare trent/ederson type players with walker/alisson because they're specifically built for the system they play in while the others are just world class at their position and could do it for any team. Trent/Ederson - world class at what they *can* do in their position Walker/Allison - world class because they can do everything in their position

I completely disagree on both. Ederson is actually a very good shot stopper, and would succeed at any team. Trent is just that good at football, he’d be immense for any team also.

34:04 - THIS!!! I honestly feel like Trent is so good on the ball and Walker is so good off the ball that we should be playing them both for England any way we can. I don't care if it's Walker at CB and Trent at right back, with an ultra defensive LB, or just putting Trent on the left. They both need to play and I don't think it will hurt us. Stop mucking about and tell Walker his only job is to defend, have a back three with Trent and Rice in a double pivot when we have the ball. Up front, just let us loose... Bellingham, Foden, Saka, Kane, Grealish, or Maddison, or Palmer, or Gordon, etc etc.... service from Trent... cheat codes 👌

I think everyone is overreacting over Chelsea. At the start of the season everyone said it would be a tough season for Chelsea because they have a brand new team that needs to gel. Now that they're going through a tough time because the team needs to gel, everyone is panicking saying Chelsea needs to sack poch and Todd. Let poch sort it out. That's why he was brought in.

I get that football fans are inherently fickle but how does that one Chelsea performance change the narrative about them at all?? Jim was spot on with his assessment, if anything this villa game should piss Chelsea fans off more about their mentality and naivety when it comes to playing the smaller teams in the league. This is such a top-down issue that's not gonna be sorted by one game and potentially more than one season.

Hey James and Flav, just checking in. Please tell me if I'm just becoming old and miserable. I spotted an American flag in the away end at Loftus Road on the weekend and that really grinded my gears. This comes a week or two after Match of the Day showed a Norwegian flag at the etihad, obviously for Mr Erling and i assume the stars and stripes at W12 on Saturday were for Sargent. I cant quite put my finger on why but it felt like the opposite to good clean fun (a lone wolf-whistle 2 or 3 seconds after an away player skys a shot btw). It really urked me. Ive got no evidence to prove this flag barer wasnt American themselves but the idea that someone bought the national flag of a player that plays for their team just really urked me. Am I just an irritable sod? All the best

Big clubs are always so weird. Yes Chelsea are having a bad league season but they are still in two cups with one final. The big 6 now 7 with Newcastle in theory take up all 7 european spots. All these clubs will have to learn that floating between the CL, EL and even ECL is okay. However, west ham are on a european roll. Brighton look here to stay in the top 6-10. Aston Villa too look like they have a proper manager in Unai to push them into the conversation. So thats 10 clubs pushing for 7 spots. Three clubs will always fall short. Theres even the occasional wolves or brentford making it harder to.

Thing to remember is Rory, fan channels and idiots on twitter don’t actually represent the fanbase. Fan channels especially over react to everything for clicks. Poch has done a good job if you watch the games, youngsters are going to be inconsistent especially with so many changes going on at once. Plenty of positives and have been pretty unlucky, 2 deflected goals after taking the lead against wolves is a good example. Only complaint I have is sterling doesn’t look good and is getting too many minutes. Disagree about the not being able to sell any players, players like casadei, santos, ugochukwu, Washington, Angelino, fofana, disasi could all go on loan have a good season then sell for a good profit. Even someone like mudryk or Madueke could go to dortmund on loan put up good stats and sell if they don’t make it at Chelsea. Situation isn’t ideal but not as bad everyone makes out, reported transfer fees also look worse because they always include the add ons that will likely never get triggered.
