the best thing to do to beat Rygar is level up your guy all the way before even starting to explore. i used to set up a turbo controller with the down and attack buttons taped down. Then leave the NES on over night. With endless creature spawn your guy is maxed out next time you play. As long as no one messes with your setup while you are gone....

Mike, I used to play old games all my life, and I remember the reactions of my friends and brothers "are you STILL playing with this crap?" or "time to grow out of it!". I always liked things that stood the test of time, and apparently I was on the right track, but I can tell you, it's been a lonely way. No internet until 2006, no retro stores, only a few street markets once a month. The only outlet and common ground for this passion was the magazine Game Republic.
