Thing is, had he actually figured out how to blow up the wall...he was playing on Easy Mode, which is one of the most messed up things in this game. Shortly after this part, if you're on Easy, the game STOPS and says since you're on easy you aren't allowed to play anymore, and if you want to play the whole game, start THE WHOLE THING OVER on Normal. And this is about the halfway point. Now, I would have loved to see the nerd rage if he saw THAT.

+IvoryInDaHouse No, it doesn't... Final Fantasy VI has the best SNES soundtrack. I'd say it's the best video game soundtrack at all. Castlevania IV has a few good pieces--Stage 3-2 consistently gets overlooked. But no other SNES game has the variety, technical brilliance, and beauty as the music of FF6. Even two decades later, Celes' Song is likely to bring tears to my eyes as I recall Cid's death and her suicide attempt. No other game has ever come close to the music of FF6, and definitely not Castlevania. It's good, but "best" doesn't belong in the same sentence as Castlevania IV. Contra III's is pretty solid, too, and I agree it's better than Castlevania IV's, but... still nowhere near the best. Of course, we're discussing opinion, so that's just mine.

Behind this wall is a switch/orb/thing that removes the white rune from the larger wall. After destroying this wall u can destroy the other. Behind it is another switch/orb/thing. Destroying this awakes the monster. If your on easy mode after KILLING the monster the game will tell u to play normal mode. BTW to use the items is left c arrow, like using switches.

Legacy of Darkness was one of my favorite games. I would play it for days on end, I did not have a memory card so every time I turned off the console I had to restart from the beginning haha. I can see why James disliked it in comparison to how I saw it, he had a larger variety of games and has older consoles to compare it too. But for me, I had not played many games, and Legacy of Darkness was so cool, the music was okay, he says that it sucks but, it was more about ambience, music played its role in cutscenes. I loved how I could slay skeletons, then turn into a man beast n' pwn everything, I liked the Cornell's story, the song at 10:10 is an example of one of the songs that is memorable from the game, its not too savvy but its not bad either. I honestly feel like James over exaggerated with the N64 games flaws, the camera sometimes gave me problems like how he showed, but that was probably the only time I ever had those problems, the nitro was a pain to figure out what needed to be done with it, I don't remember having the problem he had at 11:10 ever. I can't believe he started over though, at least he shows alot of dedication towards his attempts at beating the game.

It's an okay game but it's nothing like Castlevania. It's a shitty castlevania game, it should have been separated from it and given a stronger story by making something new.

For the people who wants to know how to do the backflip in Dracula X, press the jump button twice. But fast, you only have a time limit for the backflip. If the time is past, you need to do it again

For what it's worth; the chainsaw was invented in 1830, and the motorcycle in 1850. Both invented, and designed by Germans, so the general part of the world tracks as well. Yes, I am also a nerd.

I actually loved the n64 castlevania games, and I think it's kinda unfair how you used nintendo power and game genie and stuff like that on the other games, but in castlevania 64 you didn't read about how to pass castle center, which wasn't hard at all.

Played the N 64 ones and the camera's not bad you just have to change mode to the situation. There good games if you give them a chance and try to remember that its there 1st 3d games.

Yeah I enjoyed the N64 version. Got to Dracula but had some really crappy weapon and was stuck so I couldn't beat the game as when I loaded it was right at Dracula. The first PS2 Castlevania game was great as well.

To be honest I played these back when I was maybe 5 at the oldest when I beat them and I even played the first one (not saying I beat the first one then ) but I can't remember ever getting stuck.

11:39 - There are 2 parts of "Castlevania (64)" that I will never forget - fighting Dracula and carrying the nitro. Carrying that nitro was awful, but fighting Dracula in 3-D was the main highlight of this game and almost made it bearable to play.

Super Castlevania IV is one of the best Snes games there is and it's a favorite of mine, love it and beaten it, it was a great experience, Dracula X isn't great as it's PC Engine counterpart, but a good CV game netherless, now the N64 CV games, these are just bad, both regular and Legacy of Darkness, having awful flaws that make the game impossible to beat.
@PaleHorseShabuShabu3 жыл бұрын
Funny, I've beaten both Castlevania 64 games and never once encountered a flaw like what you're talking about.

It's a damn shame you missed Symphony of the Night in your youth. I've been playing Castlevania since part 1 and SOTN is my absolute favorite. Aria of Sorrow on the GBA is up there too. Two great games that don't necessarily resemble the originals. Part 4 is my 2nd favorite.
@CykaBlyatAlex8 жыл бұрын
Aria of Sorrow is a top 3 maybe at least 4 best castlevania games of all time. sadly it's not as praised as the other ones from what i can tell.
@MassayukiSama8 жыл бұрын
+Raiden2421 Because of Dawn of sorrow, wich is not a bad game, but a unnecessary sequel without the gothic artwork. My favorite ones are SOTN, Aria of Sorrow, IV and Ecclesia.
@CykaBlyatAlex8 жыл бұрын
***** I agree.
@RoundShades8 жыл бұрын
Definitely agree, not enough love for Aria of Sorrow. Hell, even that limited Harmony of Despair for X360/PS3 was great in the fact that it still used classic castlevania formula and had assets from all the timelines from whip-users to witches to Alucard and Soma, and had multiplayer and could play like a class-based RPG with friends. Castlevania had way more glory moments than just 3 or 4, it had no less than 8 great ones. I get his recollection didn't include them, but it's like Godzilla for PS2, you could play Super Famicom one but if you ever glanced upon the gameplay it'd fucking insert itself into your childhood memories for you.
