I assume that I’m not the only one that noticed that second-loop basic enemies do four bars of damage per hit; Add that to the increased spawn rate, multiple X/Y position Triggered spawns and higher rate/speed. Second loop gives “Castlevania Hard” a whole new definition. PS That Frank-fight was insane, bro. But, the reaper with single-shot boomerang was legendary .

Talk about odds stacked against you!! 16 total health bars. Each time your hit by Dracula you loose 4. So if you get there with full health the max Number you can be hit is 4. Dracula is one hit per bar and his second form takes 2 hits per bar. Totaling 48 hits to to kill him to your 4 at best!!

I'm sure someone mentioned it, but there's many more hidden treasures and 1ups. They usually involve standing still or crouching in a specific spot.

Cool playthrough Mike.
@xyanide19866 жыл бұрын
54:19 So from what I found out by trying, you get treasures by crouching in spots are seemingly pointless or lead to nowhere. Just like the level 1 part past the fishmen. I found the treasure at the timestamp by trying a crouch in that spot, because that platform seems completely pointless.

I think the NES and SNES classics are getting a bad rap here. Not all emulation is created equal and the emulation Nintendo uses is not even remotely comparable to the god awful emulation used in Sega retro systems. And no, games don't "always" run better on native hardware. Super Ghouls n' Ghosts for instance chokes on vintage hardware and there's no way around it. On the SNES Classic however, a patch can remedy this.

Level 2 of the second loop is actually the hardest in my opinion. I've beaten loop 2 like 2 weeks ago, but the second level is brutally hard, i kept failing on that part the most. After the 4th level or so it plays like the first loop again. Dracula didn't get any harder either.

Not sure it's necessary to get that many hearts leading into Dracula (27:44-28:54, and other attempts). People always do, but then have 30-40 left over at the end. Can always get more from his flames. Unless you just want to increase your score...Overall, great video/run. Thanks.
