Keratoconus has been steadily taking my vision away. The accessibility features like using the phones camera as a magnifier and the ability to zoom in on the screen have really helped me maintain a lot of my independence. I've just started to get to the point where text-to-speech is becoming necessary some days.

Awesome video! I have three accessibility shortcuts set in the Accessability menu. They are voiceover, voice control, and switch control. You see, I have tremors in my hand, and there will be times when I need to use the built-in switch control software. These times are rare, but it’s helpful to have the switch control option in the accessibility menu, should the need arise. It’s also a wonderful feature to show off to individuals who didn’t even know that these features existed within the iPhone.

Thanks for this video! I am always fascinated to learn things about accessible technology that I did not know previously. I would have never thought of using one's tongue to press buttons on one's wheelchair joystick to control one's phone, but it make sense, and it's awesome that the technology is out there to help people with disabilities live as independently as possible. PS: I am digging the Rogue One poster in the background of where you are sitting. :)

Thank you for the great content! I tried using voice over after watching your videos. It actually was quite difficult for me. Trying to see from others' perspective is good, it made me a little bit nicer. I'll be looking forward to your new videos!!!

Any word on whether Apple is working to remove the huge price barriers that stop many disabled people from using their products?

Like, I'd love to use the accessibility features on an iPhone, but on benefits I can't even afford to fix my cracked no-brand smartphone screen...

The good thing is that Android has as much accessible features as iOS.

I use the accessibility features so I don't have to always use the home button or side buttons when my hands hurt which is useful because the home button on my bfs iPhone 5 stopped working so I knew how to set up the accessibility function instead

Around 5 min. in but could be throughout....your video there is a pipp-ing sound a Staccato ringing and use of same in typing foley, a very annoying piano, annoying music! It is competing with your voice! Do you know what foley is? its sound that is not original but made up by sound designer to make noise in movies etc like horses clapping sound made with objects...its been made for your typing sound. It overrides your voices so that your voice together with the audio imposed is so annoying and un listenable!!!! Someone can unlink your recorded voice with the "music" and foley so that your video isn't worthless for those that can benefit!!! , please take me seriously, your information is valuable. Also, the voice reader is a problem...you are talking and it is talking at the same time. Very difficult to hear. you!

This video is nearly 7 years old. Styles and format have change a lot since then. I'm a much better editor now than I was then.
