I have property on Pocahontas trail in James city county....my grandfather had tobacco on his land which was 93.75 acres...my grandmothers folks owned the property and a church called mcgruder baptist was my great grand fathers church.....my grandfather was Native American from the area. Palhatton.....this is really crazy.....💯. Busch gardens purchased a lot of that land from my relatives 🙌🏽

I'm 60% mixed race African and I am a DNA descendant of Pocahontas & Rolfe family... my ancestry dates to early Virginia. My earliest known ancestor was a mixed Indigenous Indian and African who was captured during the Anglo-Indian Wars. He was taken prisoner as a child and turned into a Indentured servant for the Gov William Stone bloodline of Poynton Manor, Port Tobacco, Charles County, Mayland.

Yeah theres a lot of mixed black and native people around Virginia but it makes sense especially since they brought males first.

Allot their actions makes sense when you realize they were starving and dying from malyria, it doesn't excuse it but you try maintaining your sanity while dying from starvation and malyria.

You meant John "Rolfe". Replace the "W" with "R". He met Pocahontas during her captivity in Henricus, an English settlement in northern Virginia. She was abducted by Samuel Argall's foot soldiers during her marriage to Kocoum.

Tragedy of the commons, isn't that what results from "communism"? How was that resolved concerning the means of production.

She's wrong, there is some but not a lot of gold in Virginia. Contrary Creek near the North Anna River has gold, for example.

How do know the “facts” you use to revise history????

Much of this is not true. They knew some things about geology and knew the the New World was not piled with gold. There is gold in Virginia. The gold-pyrite belt alone, from Fairfax county to Fredericksburg, produced gold by the tonnage. At one time, Virginia was the 8th largest gold producer in the country. They also sent professional soldiers, skilled tradesmen (Including surgeons) and general laborers. They did send back many natural resources. They sent back wood and wood products because England was nearly deforested. They planted gardens and brought fishing nets (That they didn't use a first). They were expecting supply ships every 3-6 months. They traded with the Powhatan for years. The starving time does not happen for nearly 3 year into the settlement - True. There are many factors, including a draught, Powhatan siege, supply ships crashing in Bermuda and being 7 months late with supplies used up. At least you have most of the Pocahontas story right. They didn't "discover" tobacco. John Rolph brought seeds from the Caribbean that the Spanish had transplanted there from South America.
