The guys falling for his sales pitch reminded him of his dad being an easy mark for con men. He has a lot of resentment for how gullible his dad was, and of course thinking about his dad makes him think of Chuck, which is the last thing he wants to do right now

8:43 😂😂 I often stop myself while watching BCS and think “man Walt really came in and ruined all this”
@sickpunch17 ай бұрын
exactly! In BB, Mike angrily tells Walt how he ruined everything. They had loads of cashflow, just trust in Gus and he'll take care of the business/empire/drug lord/assassin part of it.
@nathancollins17157 ай бұрын
@@sickpunch1That was honestly one of Mike's dumbest moments tbh. Every action Walt took was to save either his own life or Jesse's life. If he hadn't killed the dealers, Jesse would've got killed. If he hadn't killed Gail, he would've got killed. If he hadn't manipulated Jesse to turn against Gus, then eventually Gus would have convinced Jesse to let Walt die. At a certain point, Walt had no choice but to "blow it all up".

The dudes Saul is talking to around 5:30 in this video are both actors that make several appearances in Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia! One of them is Charlie’s Uncle Jack who only briefly appeared in season one but you’ll see more of later and the other is someone you haven’t seen yet but will very very soon! Fun little crossover between two shows you’re watching right now These last three seasons definitely kick things up a notch. Looking forward to everything coming up on the channel ✌️

That scene with Kim shouting at Howard is one of my favorite Kim scenes in the entire show. He intensity gives me chills there. She's such a good actress and she's such a compassionate character when it comes to Jimmy.
@shinyt90037 ай бұрын
honestly, she is also letting her guilt out on howard. not trying to justify his actions; she's not technically wrong per se, but yeah like james says it is Jimmy's fault (and hers too for helping with the trial) and she is trying to deal with that while also watching the man she loves slowly dying inside and coping in a pretty bad way

I love the scene with Jimmy’s job interview. There are a lot of aspects to it (like jimmy being reminded of his dad in the interviewers). But I also think it has a weird dimension of self-punishment to it. Chuck’s death is laying heavily on his conscience. He wants someone to call him out on his BS and hold him accountable. Those two guys do the opposite and he hates them for it.

Anytime Jimmy is given the opportunity to be a straight shooter he always goes into self-destruction. as much as he acts like he wishes he could have things simple, he’s given an opportunity and he purposely fucks it up. He enjoys breaking the rules. That becomes more clear towards the end of the show

Howard isnt responsible either, but hes closer to it than Jimmy. The scene with Kim and Howard is my favorite scene in the entire series. It made K8m my favorite character for the rest of the show. I am always surprised with how many reactors and comments I see painting Kim in a bad light for that scene. She said nothing wrong and her delivery was INCREDIBLE. I fell in love a little.

I don't know that Jimmy is really any more responsible for Chuck's death than Jimmy. Obviously the show needs to contrast someone who is repentant for his part in all that to someone who is deep in denial, but Howard did enable Chuck for years. He didn't have to force Chuck out in response to the insurance thing, and he didn't have to try and block Jimmy from getting Chuck help in the hospital back in season 1. For me, the difference between them is not about culpability, it's about who exhibits guilt over it.
