Victreebel gets Clear Smog and Encore and Venusaur doesn't. If the Chlorophyll role on a team is meant to be a support and not a sweeper and those two moves are particularly well positioned in a meta, then Victreebel could find a niche over Venusaur.

Please don't just bring top teams with only a unique mon, also bring unique teams, with original Pokémon, sets, strategy's, I'm getting sick of always seeing the same Pokémon in every battle over and over again, I'm sometimes get hyped of the thumbnail, and normally the other mons of the team are the overused mons, nothing against them being used sometimes, but it's way more interesting and entertaining seeing different stuffed being used in smart way, that's the special sauce of Pokémon in my opinion, that's my honest feedback about the vids

I mean Pokémon power creep does evolve, so you have to keep it relative to be able to compete when you face those other mons. I hear your point, understanding what you saying and asking for, but James showcases a lot of unique teams, sometimes super abstract irrelevant Pokémon and sometimes niche Pokémon with popular meta picks. You are saying to bring “original Pokémon sets and strategies” for a game that is umm… nearly 30 years old… there is nothing original anymore, everything has been documented lol, he keeps it fun, thanks JAMES.

Sometimes you gotta use some meta mons to round out the wacky ones but i agree sometimes the teams are like OH MY GOD TODAY WERE USING...idk TEDDIURSA(?lol)...along with specs flutter mane, choice band rillaboom, sash urshifu, sitrus incineroar and life orb landorus i. But the hypothetical teddiursa is just for one very specific matchup and dies unceremoniously the second game in that exact specific matchup and he doesnt bring it in the other games lol
