Mine would be the youth to the people cleanser because it’s the first face wash that left my skin feeling clean but not dry or squeaky. The biossance cleaning oil because makeup. The biossance retinol because it doesn’t feel heavy. And the summer Friday vitamin C serum because I want to try it so bad I love vitamin C and niacinamide so have them in one just seems easier! Then some moiturizer idk what but something. And the Paula’s choice spf lightweight one

This question made me realize that I'm not sure what things are considered as skin-care products. Would face wash count? If it does, that's what I'd buy first because my place has lots of pollutants. Otherwise...sunscreen? Since nowadays they're pretty much moisturising also (and I'm not even talking about moisturizer that has SPF). My skin is good with a lot of brands so I don't care as much about it but currently I'd choose hadalabo because they're affordable and fragrance-free.

When I left Korea I brought SO many of my favourites home, literally stuffed my suitcases. They’ve finally ran out and buying them here is painful! They’re so pricey in comparison to how cheap they are in Korea. Totally agree with like all of this!! I do feel like most Korean brands have like an iconic product/product line and they kind of focus on that. Clean it zero is my holy grail (but yeah the only product I use from them!). Innis free products are so lovely, but don’t actually do much! I miss K beauty so much!

It makes sense to focus on 1-2 iconic products as they’re relatively small, indie brands. Larger brands can afford and have the infrastructure, capacity, expertise having multiple lines with dozens of products. In the west Korean products are treated as higher end. Maybe they wouldn’t be even popular if they were cheaper. There’s this racist/xenophobic attitude here that everything cheap from Asia is a gimmick or ineffective, plasticky.
@whatdebbiedidnext
@whatdebbiedidnext 3 жыл бұрын
They’re actually HUGE brands. Korea doesn’t do that many small indie brands. Like most of these brands have a store on every corner or are stocked at Olive Young etc that are on every corner: a lot of indie stuff is kind of forced out.
