Here's a weird one: when Scream 2 came out, I was in an international school in Sri Lanka. In the scene where you are talking to the killer, and you exclaim "Fuuuuuuck you", a bunch of boys at school REALLY took to it. Within days, regardless of context you'd hear kids shouting "Fuuuuuuck you" in YOUR tone. You'd hear that shit in the playground, from down the corridors, on sports grounds, at the pool and in the middle of the fricking jungle (cause Sri Lanka). This went on for months. How's that for random.

I always saw Randy’s humour as a coping mechanism; especially in the scene after film class with Sid. The English accent was his way of deflecting because he couldn’t allow himself to go back to that traumatic place. I mean, not only was he attacked, stabbed and shot, it was his friends that tried to kill him. I know Randy wasn’t Billy’s biggest fan, probably because he was with Sidney, but Stu? I can imagine Stu was somebody Randy looked up to. Poor guy. Great video though! 😁

If you think about it Stu does allow Randy to live several times when he could have killed him.. on the couch.. even in the finale when Sid shuts the door on them both. Randy thinks Stu did it probably because he saw him removing his costume at the side of the house yet Stu does nothing harm randy. In my opinion I think he actually likes Randy enough to let him live or at least leave him to Billy

As a kid, that scene in the classroom was my favorite scene because that was the environment I wanted to be in. Majority of the friends I had at that time I could not do that with. So it was nice to see this commentary take place. Classic scene. Cheers 🍻!

Maybe Your British accent during the exterior shot with Neve was Randy’s attempt to disassociate from the recent event, you could tell by the dialog he was trying to differentiate their experience and downplay the theatre murder. Like some use theatrical cuts, then one that's a directors vision, and sometimes a mix of both. Its basically the same movie with just different takes from the actors. And back then they wouldn't really put the differences like they do now.

Randy sealed his own fate in Scream 2 when he deviated from his horror archetype as the brains to a witty comic relief with swagger and bravado. His confidence became his ignorance; Notice Randy get angry and berate ghost face over the phone when he says he'll never be the "leading man", this is because deep done Randy knew his days were numbered, even denying Sidney that the college murders has no connection to their past. He chose to ignore the signs and ignore his fate, which ultimately got him killed.

The way you portrayed the Randy Meeks character Is exactly the reason why Randy is still my favourite character.. even though unfortunately Randy was killed off in the second part , which to this day still makes me cry… throughout all these years and all The Scream movies for some reason I was still hoping Randy’s character still would have been a part of the franchise … they could’ve had flashbacks of him and Sydney or Dewie or Gail talking about horror movies and things to look out for in the future (after the tragedy that took place in the first part) like he did in the video in part three… he could have been in a dream sequence or just a memory from one of them from Woodsborough ..that would’ve been awesome to find a way to keep Randy in the franchise…
