This is why child actors need an attorney regardless of how long or short lived their careers are. Monitor them on set: no closed environments. And that attorney should 100% act on the child’s behalf…they got something they want to share? Listen! They don’t wanna be an actor/actress? Get them out of their contracts asap. There’s going to be a meeting/interaction off set? Go with them! There’s too many child actors and actresses who fall victim to both predatory entities and overbearing money hungry parents. Im hoping she maintains a sense of peace in her life; as it is, Hollywood won’t offer her a role again.

I don't know the law, but I don't think an adult not related can file a police report for that if the victim doesn't want to admit to it. Although I agree if she did nothing then that was a mistake. Yeah, we don't know in that situation what we would have done, but admitting in an interview you knew after the victim came out publicly decades later certainly isn't a heroic act.

Eliza's account does sound very credible... HOWEVER, there's no actual proof, and it's almost impossible to corroborate at this point. Sexual assault is an issue, but the fact that one after another, people's careers are being destroyed ENTIRELY based on mere accusations, regardless of the strength of evidence, is an equally big issue.

Literally the VERY first thing I said was "her account sounds very credible." This proves that you're someone who's operating under a HUGE amount of bias, because you'll hear pretty much whatever you want to hear regardless of reality. That's a nearly impossible problem to overcome when we're trying to determine guilt over something that can't really ever be proven false, by the mere nature of it being based purely on eye witness testimony, and not even case history anymore in Canada, because they banned that as evidence after the Jian Gomeshi case. Why? Because they WANTED him to be guilty, and they couldn't accept a fair ruling by a body of neutral peers. In order to fairly convict someone of sexual assault, you first have to agree to the concept that not everyone who gets accused is actually guilty. Second major issue: your concept of power dynamics around the thing. "Are you not aware that people with power will take advantage of younger and powerless people." CAN they take advantage is not the same as DID they take advantage, yet you're treating it like it is. NO ONE in society is an absolute equal to anyone else in terms of power and influence. That's an ancient tenet of Confucianism. It's therefore absurd to think that an unequal power dynamic NECESSARILY equals abuse. This speaks to the Louis C.K. scandal. This is when it became really obvious to any fair-minded person that the #metoo movement was doing more harm than good. That's an example of a guy who did EVERYTHING right, and he ultimately gets shamed and blacklisted, basically just for engaging in a fetish that people find a little bit weird and hard to understand.

No we won't. Lie ditectors are not reliable in the slightest or else why would they not be used in court. Hell why would they not just hook any suspect up, ask if they did it, and then case closed no need to waste time and money investigating it. Travis Walton, the guy who wrote the book and got the movie made about being abducted by aliens has taken multiple lie detector test... and some have said he lied some didn't. You know why? In some states, if an adult finds out a child was harmed in this way, they can be held liable for not reporting it. This sounds like everyone was OK with it as long as the movies were getting made and paychecks signed. And years later after there is nothing tangible for anyone to lose, it comes out. I'm sure the stunt coordinator in the twilight years of his career isn't going to have any real money. Its seems more likely this is aimed at James Cameron and the Studio as they are the ones with finances to give any legitimate payouts. And those claiming they know her and that she wouldn't lie, how well do you know a person who has been trained to pretend to be other people and feel strong emotions on demand? Assuming the studio pays out for pain and suffering and ruining her acting career, she stands to gain a lot. And if its more recognition, then she will be Hollywood's latest victim and roles offered to her to bank off her newfound courage. All apologies, Hollywood is fake, and unsubstantiated accusations don't hold water in court for a reason.

This isn't her first allegation and I suspect it won't be her last. Normally when someone accuse another person like this, other people start coming forth piling on and yet that hasn't happened, not now nor in her previous, aptly titled, "True Lies" allegation against the stunt coordinator of that film. It's not surprising that a washed up semi-has been who, as mentioned on KZbin, Hollywood won't cast anymore, who barely can find work on tv, has to resort to these types of tactics to get money. I suspect she quickly realized on the set of Bull that there wasn't any chemistry between her and her co-star, and reading the writing on the wall, pre-emptively struck with this blatant accusation so she could justify a lawsuit, not to say that Weatherly didn't make any crude comments. He comes off as a bit of a joker so I wouldn't put it past him. But if as he stated, and she's not denying, that he just as quickly realized he had offended her and emideatly modified his behavior to be more respectful though also realizing that this wasn't going to work, they just didn't mesh, that is why she was let go. She certainly doesn't deserve a multi-million the dollar payout, and contrary to what most might believe, out of court settlements aren't because the accused is guilty but rather to simply expedite the matter quicker. But now that she has violated the terms of her non-disclosure agreement hopefully she won't get a cent!
