@@Mau5lex That's fine that youve never heard of em but Jamie is an industry head and claims to have studied the market. You should check out and support Last Resort. Ran by Pontus Alv (Polar) and they support lots of youger skaters and recently collabed with older heads like Jason Adams. People claim that skater owned shoe brands don't exist and then dismiss newer brands just because they aren't locked into constant nostalgia bait like sole tech. It's fine to like the past but skaters are too OD on hating everything that the "kids" like just cause its changing. As if skating isn't always changing.

Leather.. IS the single best material, hands down, for footwear.. its been used since the dawn of man.. its versatile.. its durable.. its comfortable.. and it gets deep.. and i mean, real, full grain leather.. I'm one of those people that buy US handmade boots @ $600-1000.. but they're all leather construction as well and that's where you get the prices..White's Boots, Nick's, Frank's, Wesco.. stuff that's generally hand lasted, even hand sewn.. but the materials.. leathers can be really expensive when you use the really good tanneries... so to hear Jamie used a pig suede... something actually organic.. I'm impressed.. 99% of the shoes out there are synthetic materials that fall apart quickly, offer no custom fit over time, and they make your feet sweat even more.. great stuff on the pig suede.. sounds quality

Except they don’t tend to be using high-end premium materials and focusing primarily on that throwing through their shoes and prioritize casual lifestyle type of footwear with skateboarding as an aside. They seem to be a skateboarding shoe for skateboarders from their own about page and have a few models that may be more lifestyle shoes like the goofy loafers many brands do but never get mentioned like Globe and gravis who have been around longer than LR and also have a lack of lodge logos etc. But the second somebody hears no logos they instantly go to LR and pretend they created, ended something so unique and so wonderful and so novel and so imperative to a skateboarding shoe for skateboarding skateboarding, skateboarding skateboarding skateboarding. 🤣🤣 That is to the people who overstate the lack of a logo that is, not simply people who like it and it’s cool, that’s fine, but the ones that go apeshit over and again pretended something new and remarkable. So maybe he’s talking about a shoe that is supposed to be high, premium materials, not here and there, but through and through, and that is the specific focus, not a few models here and there that kind of have those things as well as a primary focus on lifestyle casual types of shoes, not here and there models that may do that. It’s like people take the lack of logo and Corporate aversion and so LR is the only thing that exists in their brain even for companies that predate them and pretend, especially corporation sentiment is some unique new thing they “own” 🤣 Even Ipath has some models with less intrusive logos but I guess simply not doing that at all gives you extra praise somehow which is the only credit you can really give to LR regarding that again when you see, it’s not even at all. Which to be fair I don’t think they really claim that unless I missed something, it’s usually the fans, often GH told me so types that hard-core have a autistic fixation on it like it means something of actual value or substance for a skateboarding shoe that’s made for skateboarding. Maybe they’ve carried that torch since the few other brands that do it never come up the second somebody dares mentions not having a big logo focus. LR for the win, I just hope they actually skate incredibly well and wish there was an ironically more focused on the skateboarding shoes and how they skateboard over silly shit😒 some are so unhinged that they say they like a lack of logos but then the second some other company steps up to try to continue that and offer more variety to that thing they LIKE, they come at the company lmao. And here I can see the difference because people can believe that he was stepping on the toes of LR even if I did not get that impression, but I don’t see other brands doing that or giving that impression but they get attacked by a portion of people because again they don’t have a logo. Also, just because he’s going for something more high-end doesn’t mean it’s going to be of substance but maybe he means everything he said, not just the one or two things. People are focusing on when he talks about fulfilling a void. If not I’m gonna have to join the LR hit squad and come for him disrespecting like that 🤣 which I don’t think anyone here did at least in this thread. But I’m also going to recognize gravis and Globe, I don’t even know if it’s gravis I don’t actually care.🤣
