The only thing I'd add is syncing the clips to align! Awesome video!

Nice one. One small adjustment that could make it even better is synchronizing it so that the clip transition picks up pretty much exactly where the laptop closes (last image on laptop = first image on full screen clip). Would make it more seamless, especially if there's a lot of movement in the clip.

Mind blowing Stuff Jamie! Just perfect when i was running out video ideas! A small question: can we do other types of masking transitions this way? This workflow is better than the ones we see in the colour page of resolve
@JamieFenn21 күн бұрын
Thank you so much!! Yes absolutely. The color page is meant for color. You should never do composites there. That’s what fusion is for. Always do your vfx and masking in fusion 👍🏼
@priyankardas266821 күн бұрын
@JamieFenn Yeah most of the other people have shown in colour page, I never liked the idea. I always wanted to find a way to do it outside the colour page, infact I had seen one of your older videos where you did it in fusion (door opening sequence). That's nice also but this tutorial is easier to execute for a beginner like me. Thanks a lot for this again!

Nice one. Question please. At 1:20 I did not get it. First, we mask "down - closing" and then we start masking backwards until it is open? Thank you
@pdou679622 күн бұрын
He started in the middle of the clip going down toward closed, then went backward from the middle of the clip toward open. If he had started at the beginning of the clip, it would have just been in one direction but slightly harder to find the top of the laptop in the frame.
