3 years late but these cars are insane, mines mapped to 267whp and even with full interior they are insane cars, my buds got a 402whp galanza v and that car is all most un-drivable

I'm obsessed with these cars. I saved up just over 2 grand to buy one but ended up buying a Mitsubishi Colt CZT that is running decent power, mainly because they way more comfortable and reliable than these, which I need from my daily. The colt is just as good in my opinion but I'll still buy a Glanza when I get the chance

LOVE Starlets! I own 3 boxy starlets myself (one -86, one -87 and one -88). There is a guy in Swansea, Wales, called Craig Mctaggart (at least on the webz) He has built a sleeper boxy starlet with a 270 hp 5E turbo engine (hint:the original boxy starlet 1,3 weighs only 830 kg stock. same engine block + turbo has to be hilarious!) I think you should make a review of his car!!! I want to know more! ^^

I mean to buy a car with very similar performance, there is actually a red glanza for sale i think 276 bhp for 6.5k on gumtree. So for probably 6.5 k then a car like this car be had. I wasn't talking about building one up to this spec, of course that would cost alot more money

it really sucks we never got fwd starlets or glanzas in the usa, we have to make due with the tercel and paseo (corsa and cynos). i have had 7 tercels, some stock, 1 turbo 3ee, 1 with 50shot nos on 3ee, and my current 5efte car. several local guys have some quick cars, 3rd gen tercel coupe with built 5efte (300hp), another with a 4th gen tercel coupe making 450hp on a built 5efte

I love this car, if i didn't have my Pulsar gtir i would have one of these and to be honest i'm struggling to think which other cars will give you the same performance for below 6k. If anyone knows any cars that give this performance for the same money please let me know. Focus rs 1599kg tank lol. This glanza must weigh around 900kg?

Antonis Da silva I own a gt starlet and have owned a glanza and it is hard to beat the performance for money, although for under 6k a well tuned K series honda swap would pass a lot of starlets however your pulsar has the edge with the awd. Also glanzas are 950kg as standard and gt starlets 860kg but the likes of an eg civic would weigh under a 1000kg itself

Antonis Da silva evo 4, semi tidy evo 5, Subaru gc8 of some sort, corsa vxr, z20let corsa c, c20let corsa b, astra gsi, astra vxr, leggy e46, mapped 535d, dc2 Integra. Could go on tbh they're all ~£6k. Starlet/glanza isnt the bargain they were 3 years where £3k would get a minter. They've appreciated so much last few years

Jack Gedge good luck buying a reasonable evo 4/5 for under 6k anymore, unless it's an e46 m3 then it wouldn't pass this standard of starlet, a corsa vxr would get wiped by it and an astra vxr unless mapped wouldn't either. Have owned a dc2 and as standard they are not quick

Antonis Da silva comparing modded cars is pointless tho, this car owes the owner way more than £6k, one on evo forum at the moment for £4.5k with basic mods ~360bhp...... spend change on mods and nuf said. Friends own td04 glanza and standard corsa vxr, completly even up to 120mph. Face it there are faster cars for the cash out there

Astra gsi/vxr no chance to compete with this car, unless they have like 430+ bhp which are incredibly rare to find online anywhere and would be way more expensive. Mapped 535d? Do you realise the power to weight difference between this glanza and a 535d? I would go as far as say the 535d would need 500bhp minimum to beat this car and even then it would be at 120mph+ But i get your general idea thank you!
