I lost my GS 3 and a half year ago now and it was like I lost my baby, still not over it, will never be and when she said that I teared up a bit at the thought of not seeing the Drogba and Juno and how Jack and Jamie will be so heart broken..hopefully a long way away ...it's the only bad thing about having them is that we don't have the privilege of having them longer 💔

TOG is the BEST series. I'd say its way better than ACOTAR, but others may say otherwise. I'd say it takes a while to get into TOG. Think it starts getting good after chapter 3... but its been ages so don't quote me on that. You wont regret reading the series. Please do!

This past summer, my wife and I did one of the Lego Art things. It was the one of Marilyn by Andy Warhol. Different type of Lego experience but sooo satisfying. There are four patterns you can do but they don't all come in the same box so we bought a second one but haven't started it yet. We did it at our camper when it was raining. Heaven on Earth.

Throne of Glass is an amazing series!! I actually read it before ACOTAR and I was obsessed with how well SJM tied together plot points from books 0.5 & 1 -> books 6/7. I hope you love it! Another recommendation: Zodiac Academy series doesn’t fill the ACOTAR void completely, but I’ve been hooked on it all the same. 🥰

Seeing the dogs today makes me happy and sad. Happy because they're so cute and I love seeing them every week. Sad because my cousin's 4yr old German shepherd passed away recently. They found out she had cancer and she died a few weeks later. It happened so quickly. So devastating 💔 Animals are such a blessing in so many ways 💕 Sorry to get so dark but that's what I thought of when I saw the dogs. I love them & you ❤

When Hamie talked about her babies going to Heaven, it just broke me to pieces! I have three kitty babies that are my complete heart and soul! I love them up and snuggle them to bits and I always think about them leaving us and going to Heaven!!😭 it’s so bitter sweet! They give us sooo much joy and love and they complete us! When they leave us, it’s such a huge and heavy void in our lives and their places in our hearts will never be filled! BUT! Our hearts will ALWAYS have room for more love and more fur babies! If you have fur babies, love them up extra good!! And always know that they will be waiting for you in Heaven and you will be together again 💕🥰😻

If you loved ACOTAR but are worried about finding TOG boring (which, I thought the first one was but then found it picked up as you move through the series), definitely try the first book in SJM’s Crescent City series, House of Earth and Blood!! It was technically her first novel published as adult fantasy rather than YA and also heavily features ~wings~ if you know what I mean. The second book releases in Feb!

NOOO! Throne of Glass series is not boring. The books get better as they go so you have to give the full series a chance. ACOTAR is what made me fall in love with reading again so it holds a special place in my heart. I reread ACOMAF when I need to feel something again. I really liked the Plated Prisoner series. First book is a little heavy, but the series overall is great. From Blood and Ash series is pretty good too! But definitely give Throne of Glass a fair try. The female main character is amazing (my favorite of all time). Happy reading!

I loved ACOTAR and totally hear you about the book hangover honestly still not over it 😂 I am on the 3rd book of the throne of glass series and it’s now starting to get good, book 1 and 2 are goodish but a bit slow at times but I feel like it’s just a way to set the scene and there will be connections back and they will seem more significant if that makes sense? That’s my hope anyways lol if you haven’t read it a discovery of witches was also pretty good. Also join good reads and add all the books you have read and liked and it gives you recs for similar books! Then you can add them to a ‘want to read’ list. Happy new year!

Love the Hugo reference, since it was invented right where I live ! In Italy is actually an aperitivo, which means it's lightly alcoholic and you're supposed to have it before lunch :) We usually do that with prosecco, elderberry syrup and sparkling water + mint leaves ! Love that you put the gin in it, it makes it a cocktail !! If you want to try a lighter version, give the aperitivo a go, it's just as good 😉♥️
