Got married Saturday, and my last minute tips are packing lots of snacks and water bottles in your room even if you're at a hotel. You're gonna come back late with your honey, hungry after a late night. Room service for most hotels won't be running after midnight.

This video came at the perfect time! I got engaged at the end of August 2019 and I planned to have a short 9 month engagement... and then Covid happened. Since getting engaged me and my fiance have gone through four job changes, buying our first house, multiple family bereavements, two wedding postponements and a whole pandemic. We are now 20 days away. Despite living in the UK and some stuff being different these videos have been so helpful. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful resource. For us we asked one Mother to be in charge of gifts and one for rescuing our DIYs and asked a bridesmaid and groomsperson to assist in each case.picked them up just before we left for honeymoon on the Sunday, It worked out well. I had a spreadsheet on Google that they all had access to. I knew my mum and MIL would be sober and able to co-ordinate it, wouldn't forget and we knew they would be ok. We weren't sure how people would deviate from the registry so having the groomsman and bridesmaid to lift anything they couldn't helped.

Would you mind talking about the difference between your marriage license and marriage certificate? And what's needed for them/if they're both needed to be brought to the venue on the day of the wedding? I know every state has different requirements but just general info would be so helpful!

generally speaking the license is what is being signed on the day of the wedding and is afterwards sent to whatever city/county clerk that deals with marriages in your area that then processes it and sends you the official certificate.

This is important & valuable advice. Is this all on a list somewhere that can be printed out? It might seem like a no brainer BUT after a year or so of planning Time does run out. So get everything done a week ahead so you don’t run out of time to get everything done. Extra things may fill up some of your time inevitably.

Oh dear wedding I was in as a bridesmaid, we went back to the getting ready location to get stuff after the ceremony, it was locked, got pulled over. The wedding was v unorganized, so we didn’t really know the chronology of things. After we got pulled over we get there and the brides mad at us for being late. Honestly we thought they would’ve just has their entrance. The bride has no idea we got pulled over, but was piiiiised we went back to the getting ready place. We also got done reason went back after the reception in different cars than we came.
