Not really. Disco is defined by the percussion. Specifically one compass in a 4/4 pattern with black notes as follows: kick drum, clap, kick drum clap and then another compass in 4/4 but with the third beat divided in octaves. So it's drum, clap, drum, clap clap. Funk, on the other hand, is characterized by its use of a particular syncopation in sixteenths, which puts it closest to its father: jazz. It has nothing to do with instrumentation, even though there might be some preferences in both genres. It's true funk is more brass oriented and disco is more violin oriented, but on this particular case, we're listening to funk music, not disco

I am a musician. I often have a cynical view of (if you will) "hit music" ...but Jamiroquai? ALWAYS on the desert island list...even when I consider the lesser moments such as the disintegration of the original band (for example)..the group as an entity returns and does not disappoint me..always a great melody..great hook..great GROOVE.
