I'm even on medications to try and make my body stop producing too much testosterone, and it has not done anything to stop me from knowing I'm a male, or at least not a female. Choosing 7 was done specifically for Christian numerological reasons -- so "there are 7 colors, therefore the Christian god is all-powerful" (which is actually a popular position among certain denominations) is extra-ridiculous. (Also, the image shown in this video had the colors in the order you'd see for the second rainbow in a double rainbow, not a single one.)

The skeleton thing is interesting to me because, like most biology, it isn't as black and white as people make it out to be. I am a massage therapist and I have worked on multiple trans people. I remember working on a trans woman and commenting to her that her sacrum and pelvic structure felt very broad and flat (typically female characteristics) despite the fact that she was AMAB. So it would be likely that upon examining her skeleton, scientists probably would decide that she was AFAB.

Another thing is, a lot of the times really old skeletons get "gendered", it's based on what else was found in that grave. And even then there's a bunch of ambiguous skeletons in museums' basements, like you'll have a "female"-shaped skeleton that was found with "male" burial objects like spears, which goes against the telling that men went out to hunt while women stayed back and cared for the children and elderly, so let's put it in a box and never speak about it again.

The thing about the archaeology thing is that yeah for one its not easy to tell the sex of the skeleton they find, they usually go by context clues like how it was buried to determine if it was a man or a woman... but the thing is sometimes these skeletons are tested later...and it turns out the skeleton they identified as male because it was buried like a man would in that culture was biologically a woman... or vise versa. So yes, archaeology has found proof of trans skeletons... Of course with modern day burials there are less context clues as most people are buried the same way regardless of sex, the best way to tell if the gravestone somehow survived unharmed... But chances are archaeologists in the future will be aware of trans people existing unless somehow the conservatives manages to completely erase all mentions of them in history...

I have a phobia of the dark. I've found rather than curling up into a shivering ball of emotional wreck, I thrash out at any sound or slight difference in the depth of the darkness around me. Real fear activates the Flight, Fight or Freeze response ... but a lot of people tend to forget about the Fight part _(as well as the Freeze, but that's not the part I'm focusing on for this comment)_ which makes you violent and angry. So yes, you're absolutely right - anger, violence etc absolutely IS a symptom of fear. And absolutely IS a symptom of a phobia. The whole transwomen in women's sports outcry also _has_ damaged cis-women who happen to have medical conditions or just natural variations in their biology that means they naturally have levels of testosterone or oestrogen in their systems that breach these guidelines they're trying to put in place. The problem is a lot of the people making these rules and complaining have a serious lack of knowledge when it comes to biology. Like, most men you could ask on the street would have absolutely _NO_ idea that yes, even us cis-men _DO_ have oestrogen in our bodies, and yes it absolutely is required because it by itself, _and_ the balance between it and testosterone, is what regulates and activates a whole bunch of other biological processes within us.

The best part is that 1 of the characters named Booth was a devout catholic and insisted on referring to the victim as she. There's a big discussion about separation of art and creator. Considering that the fans have built the world so much more, and with such care and consideration, and how it has grown past her in so many regards, I would love the memories of what it meant and possibly still means to you rather than what it means now. I've gotten comments about my HP tattoo as well. What it meant to me at the time I got it and what it means now is different, and I explain that. I also explain that I don't feel comfortable at this point in covering something that built me, though I understand why others might want to (and why I might change my mind one day!). In the end, do what's right for you... as long as you aren't paying her royalties then I don't think it should matter.

Honestly, I used to be a bit of an archaeology nut, and the skeleton thing genuinely amuses me so much. And while I might be a bit behind on specifics (it has been a while), but "gendering" skeletons in dig sites is based more on the grave items and burial procedures rather than the body itself. Sure, the body might provide a starting point, and might give a /biological sex/, but that doesn't mean shit when it comes to actually examining everything. And yes, i admit, there is a lot of hetero/cis normative stuff in archeology (couples being called "friends/siblings" for example), but it really is so much more complicated than that. So yeah, fellow trans/non-binary/non-conforming spuds out there, your future bones are pretty safe!

I remember in my nordic history course we talked a lot about a grave in Sweden. A person was buried there, whose DNA was that of a woman, but the circumstances in which they were buried where those of a male warrior. So of course we talked a lot about possibilities of the person being trans, gnc or anything inbetween. The burial gifts were of high value, which could mean, that the person was of high status inside the warrior troop. So regardless of their identity, the female born person probably has had a lot of respect. This is very interesting to me, because in the early middle ages in nordic texts, masculinity was defined as being ready to use violence to defend ones family from violence. (you know, the whole "protector" spiel).

Ugh, I hate that over-used, incorrect "but in x amount of years, your skeleton will show this" ... every single person who posts that has never actually even watched a single documentary about how they go about figuring out whether a skeleton was a man or a woman. Because if they had, they wouldn't be posting those dumb memes. Firstly, the actual gender isn't necessarily the part they _want_ to find out (unless it is looking like the skeleton belongs to an important figure of history) - it's pretty inconsequential to the overall picture - they want the story _behind_ the individual; any noteworthy things they did with their life, what that life was like, what kind of civilization did they belong to, why where they buried in this way in this location etc. Most of us these days get _extremely_ boring graves in comparison to historical ones - we don't even get buried with anything more than the clothes we're dressed up in. Like who do you know that got buried with even their mobile phone? Or a box of their favourite jewellery? Or the plates and cutlery they used in daily life? Or something they used every day at work? Or a weapon of the time? So even _if_ they found our skeleton, it wouldn't be that interesting OR say much about who we were or how we lived at all. Secondly, all the things I mentioned above - the clothes, the jewellery, weapons, pottery etc IS how they normally figure out the gender. NOT through the skeleton itself, because as you guys said - it's actually extremely hard to tell just by the bones alone unless it somehow also has DNA within that survived to be sequenced. That is mainly used to figure out age and cause of death more than anything else. It's all the context clues they were buried near to or actually with, that tells us one way or another.

I studied archeology in college. The sex of skeletons is RARELY EVER determined by pelvis, its an incredibly unreliable determination, based on age, body type, etc. Skeletons were determined through burial practices. Such as (Just as example) men are buried with coins, and women were buried with silver, then obviously if they find a grave with silver, they'd assume it was a woman buried there. Trans people in history were buried with items for both genders, or their preferred gender, so to say "In 1k years they'll call you the wrong gender" is inaccurate.

The rainbow christian thing is so much worse too. It isn't just God saying "Oh this is my promise not to murder all of humanity again." No. It's actually "This is my promise not to *drown* all of humanity again." As in "Oh yeah by the way, when I return, I'm going to kill everyone that doesn't follow me by burning them alive. By lighting the whole planet on fire. Didn't break my promise!" Yeah... I prefer the LGBT rainbow over the one I was raised with. Leave those childhood nightmares behind me, thanks.

The other thing that's dumb about the whole idea of separating the TQIA+ part of the community is that some ace folks are also gay. For example, there's Bambi lesbians, who were more interested in romance than physical on the bed interactions. Or they might be aromantic but gay. For me, I'm a gay-ish asexual enby so what then? Wait, they're remaking HP?! Not that I like it, but ugh... Why is so much of popular media getting remakes or sequels nowadays? Don't get me wrong, I really liked the recent Matrix, but stuff like HP and Disney? No thanks, I'm happy with my 90s Lion King, Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast etc. At least she could write another series or something. I'm glad I never got into HP and fell in love with the Percy Jackson series as a pre-teen instead. Rick Riordan was a elementary school teacher in Texas (I think) and he's had many additional sequel series which are inclusive of queer folks and various POCs. Also, the whole premise of the first books is that people with learning difficulties (e.g. ADHD, dyslexia) are secretly demigods (half god and half mortal). Of course, that's kind of icky in that it makes those splds a superpower, but he's been inclusive from the beginning. And he's also culturally sensitive, so he doesn't write about other cultures. Instead, he supports younger writers who have series based in Korean mythology, Mexican mythology/folklore and some African tribe's mythology (I think, I can't remember)

Oh and before I forget again, archaeology is not just biology, so future archaeologists would use context clues as well as bone structure to deduce (make a educated guess of) the individual's gender. For example, evidence of rituals or clothing could be information. Or type of object that they were buried in.
