hassan123king he is a male that is in the process of transitioning. he used to be a female. and no when he meets a partner he would need to be straightforward saying i am a trans guy or whatever he wants to say. quite frankly he doesn't even have to explain himself to anyone because whatever he decides is valid and will be okay as long as it makes him happy.

I recently came out as trans FtM to my parents, to which they did not accept. But this video is keeping my belief strong, and i will transition in a few years ^-^ edit: after 3 years of struggles and scares, I am 18 almost 19 years old. in 2-4 weeks I will be going to the clinic with my now-supportive mum to get my Testosterone date! lots of love to struggling trans kids thinking they will never reach their goal; I never used to believe people when they'd say "it gets better" in their timeline comps, but it truly does. after 3, almost 4 years, it's starting to get better. it's *finally* getting better. I made it, I believe in all of you, too. 💛 edit 2: I got my first T shot yesterday! edit 3: I realize I wasn't dating the other updates! you're all so kind and supportive, I've loved experiencing changes like my beard growing. it's january 2024, and I'm over 2 years on testosterone. I have a hysterectomy scheduled for May due to my period coming back and being much much worse despite the rising T dose and several medications that were supposed to stop my cycles. I'm struggling to find top surgeons who take my insurance. despite all the new negatives, I need to remind myself that I'd rather deal with these issues on T rather than still be waiting to start. I've been out as a trans man since I was about 14 or 15 years old, and I've just turned 21. my goal for this year is to recover from the hysterectomy and get my top surgery scheduled so I can finally go swimming again by 2025-26. I've kept pushing because I need to see myself happy, I hope every trans and queer person out there finds their reason to keep fighting 🧡

I love how honest you are about your experience. As a straight female born in the correct gender, there are things I dont know about the transgender community and would like to in order to be a better ally(I also want children and the possibility that they could be transgender makes me want to learn). It's incredible that you are so passionate about educating people on what you've gone through. Also, you are hilarious. Bringing humor to the subject is difficult but allows people to connect.

So tell us, do you have a beard now that it’s been 4 years?
@Dutch3DMaster
@Dutch3DMaster Жыл бұрын
That part about beards was weirdly relatable, I was 18 when I had to start shaving myself for the first time. Not because I had such a massive beard, but because of these weirdly long, 3-4 highly blonde colored hairs that were growing out of my chin. When I was about 21 I could grow something a bit of a ring-beard, but it still was really fluffy type of hair and my cheeks were all over the place concerning coverage. At 30 when I started female hormones it was sort of filling in on more places at that time... Honestly, the more uncomfortable thing was how boys in high school would make remarks about how boy-ish I looked even while being in puberty... But ok, by now I know that a lot of people are pretty clueless about puberty and it's effects, whether that's male or female puberty, which is also not helped by the fact that I basically had puberty screening for boy-girl gendernonconforming children from 11 to about 14, so I knew full well what was coming my way Obviously I didn't have the psychology part, I got the screening not for being trans (I would find out 5 years after the screening ended), but because I was not growing very well and they wanted to rule out a possible hormonal problem (oh the irony)...

General question : For 23 years I had a little sister, who recently came out to me as trans. So my sister became my brother. Being in the LGBT+ community myself, I think I reacted okay, I reacted how I would have wanted people to react when I came out as a lesbian. I've been very good at using masculine pronouns (only misgendered him once since the begining and I felt so bad!) and pretty much nothing has changed , I'm just being the supportive big sister that I've always tried to be. The thing is, no one else in the family knows, so depending on who I'm talking to, I'm switching from "my sister" to "my brother" and it's 1)confusing and frustrating 2)really hurting him if he's around because he's still looking for when/how to come out. I want to be supportive and help, I don't want him to get hurt, but, having came out myself, I know that it's something personal that you have to do at your own pace. I guess I'm just really lost as to how to be a good ally and what help can I provide? I feel like I'm helplessly watching one of the most important person in my life going through hell and I can't do anything. If anyone has any tips as to what I should and shouldn't do ... Please

I wish the public school system taught us useful stuff like this, not just to trans youth but cis people too so they can grow up educated and open minded
@Dutch3DMaster
@Dutch3DMaster Жыл бұрын
@@hries05 Honestly, I had education like this, but it had a severe amount of trouble with biological diversity. Weirdly enough, for all the biological diversity it lacked, it did talk about intersex people, even though the book (from 1997, I was in high school from 2000-2004) wrongly labeled those people "transgenders". The thing I hated the worst was reading all kinds of things about how the developing body of a boy would change and how that would look like, and observing some things completely different or not at all, but especially reading: "The body of a boy will stop growing between the 17th and 18th year in life." Since I had been screened for boy puberty because I didn't exactly grow very well when I was 11 (I was 4ft 7.11" at that time, with the average for age- and sex-related peers being more near 5ft 1" to about 5ft 3") and my final year in high school included biology as an exam subject, we got a lot of repeated stuff from the first 2 years (the school system in The Netherlands is ehm, complicated to explain). When I was 16 I was about 5 ft, and everyone was still pretty much towering out above me. You can probably imagine how that part of my book lingered in my mind when I had turned 17 and was 5ft 5". I became 5ft 7" after my body stopped growing at 19 and a couple of months, and that height is the average height for females in The Netherlands (calculation date over the whole of 2018 I think) so I kind of got the best of both worlds, because while I had been able to make peace with the fact I had gotten a reasonably normal height, it's basically even better now. But I honestly wished my book would've simply contained a line saying: "When you will stop growing depends on your genetics. Not everyone will stop growing at the same age or after the same amount of growth."

You talking about all those changes and how exciting they were to you really made me grin - I'm a cis woman, and my hips got noticeably wider when I started birth control, which really freaked me out at first. I mean, as a cis person who has finished puberty, you don't really expect changes like that to happen in your body any more, but of course, hormones are never not going to have an effect. As long as they are no negative effects (like crazy uncontrollable emotions that really make you suffer), I guess it's just cool to see how malleable and full of potential our bodies are, in any case, and how our genes only do so much in defining them. :)

As a transwoman, it was wiiiild to experience having to change clothes sizes, 16 years after having started boy puberty during which clothes with new sizes were obviously pretty common. It was so alien to notice at 30 years old: "Ooh...those pants don't fit anymore..." :P (I'll add to this that I have had problematic small sizes as a guy, because next to not being supertall, I'm also twig-like in shape, so most pants either fit fine lengthwise and are WAY to wide around my hips, or were fine around the hips but then were stupidly long...)

Wow. This as a cis-gendered woman, and mum of a son who's got lots of questions about trans identity, was very insightful and i don't mean this in an insulting way, but I'd never have guessed you are trans. I first watched your fiancee's video and it was so touching. This channel is very informative and gives my son and i a lot to talk about. Thankyou so much!
@Dutch3DMaster
@Dutch3DMaster Жыл бұрын
While it doesn't matter, I do wonder how old your son is. The "lots of questions" sounds like the 13-14 year old in classes that I volunteered in to talk about my experience as a transwoman, some classes even voluntarily decided to stay after the bell for recess had sounded and asked their mentor if the lesson after recess could be scheduled in such a way that they could have recess later and catch up on the lesson they were supposed to have after recess. Some other classes who had the end of their schoolday basically start with the end of the lesson in which a group of people (me included, obviously) told about their stories, which could be people who were gay, bisexual, transgender, lesbian, that kind of thing, more than once had this response upon hearing the last bell signal: "Ehm, NO? We still have so much to ask!!! Is it okay that we stay a bit longer?" And then there were the obviously funny responses, either when we had someone who, in his masculinity looks a bit like JammiDodger was along as a transman, and I was sitting next to him. Sometimes when there was time the students were allowed to try and guess "what we were" (this to teach them the importance that you can't necessarily tell if someone is gay, bisexual, lesbian or trans). They either started with me with "Definitely a woman" or "Maybe gay, not sure, but yea, a woman" or with the transman: "Deeeeefinitely a guy, maybe married...maybe has children." So whenever I started to talk and went with "Hi, I'm Iris and as you can obviously tell from my voice, I wasn't exactly born a girl" *explosion of disbelief rocks the classroom*, and after my story had been told and questions had been asked and they went to the other person, they were suddenly A LOT more careful, though they usually still had it wrong with the transman. So when he then started "Hi, I'm [his name] and I was born a girl" there was an even bigger explosion of disbelief (think of things like "NOO!!!!" "OMG!!!!" "WHAT THE FUUUUUCK HOW!?" :P ) As much as it was obviously needed to give those lessons, local government pulled the plug on them (as the Rainbow-city they love to propagate that they are...go figure). It was lovely reading your reply and seeing the same curiosity.

Jamie, I just wanted to tell you how very much I enjoy your videos. You've been really informative for me, as I began my transition at the age of 46, 3 years ago. I always knew I was trans I just didn't because my wife and I waited until our children were grown, since transitioning tends to be costly, and well you know, kids are too. I like that your videos are informative and helpful, because a lot of the trans guys on KZbin tend to focus more on the items that help you sexually or help you pass, and while that is wonderful, it isn't info I need. (At my age if I still need sex aids or info, I may as well give up, right?? ) And the fact that Shaba appears with you at times, really helped my wife and I as well. Shaba has the same sort of perspective my wife has, as she's also known you before transition. Anyways, just wanted to post this to let you know how much you inspire me, and have helped me. 😀

I have just seen the difference between your hips pre T and after 5 years. I am an "hourglass" myself (still after 2 years) and nearly as skinny as you. So I am curious: Are you lifting weights, doing sports? How have you gained those muscles to disguise your hips and getting "straighter"? Or has it changed like this?
@niamhbarry109
@niamhbarry109 7 жыл бұрын
AnarchNines there is weight redistribution. female hormones cause fat to build on the hips, making them wider (the bone is wider as well but this is part of it) whereas when you go on T the weight moves to form a more boxed out masculine shape. most of it goes to the stomach I think

It's sometimes so weird reading about these voice-drop experiences as a transfemale. My body took it's time to do some of the things in boy puberty, and next to boy puberty starting late in general, my voice was one of those things as well. Not only did the drop happen slowly, the amount of frequency change also wasn't that big actually (last time I was at the speech therapist I was able to see this in the frequency-cloud they gave me after a voice-test, and I was hitting the bottom of the spectrum in which people can be in doubt whether someone is male or female).
