I think you're talking about SCP 001 When Day Breaks? This is based on SCP 610 The Flesh That Hates. They are super similar now that I think about it, but the key difference here is that 610 is a contact contagion instead of the sun melting everything instantly.

There is a way to stop block breaking climbing mobs from getting to you via pillaring. break some of the blocks below the block you're standing on. You have enough reach to do that, and can keep going up, and breaking more blocks underneath you. That way, they cannot get to you unless they have ranged, are really really big, so fast you can't break those blocks in time, or they can fly.

how to defeat the flesh that hates easy without dealing with the enemies: Step 1: Make 3 shovels and 3 pickaxes Step 2: Make a Bucket Step 3: Fill the bucket with lava Step 4: Dig until you reach the Incubator Step 5: When you reach the incubator, put the lava near it Step 6: Get to safety until the flesh that hates fully dies Step 7: Start killing the Flesh monsters using the guns, i recommend making a Trap to kill them, like a lava hole or somethin Step 8: After the infection is dead and the monsters too, enjoy your world!

"The Flesh that Hates mod" And "Man from the Fog plus his friends mod" Yeah i'd pretty much say that world is pretty much doom. I just find it difficult enough to play Minecraft against "The Man From the Fog" mod alone but i did had fun using a certain mod that lets me capture mobs using a special crafted rope then place them into a container to observe them which i captured a lot of the "Man from the Fog" when i got lucky and afterwards had them on display just for fun. Could not capture the shadow guy that walks on water though has he pretty much is not capture-able without risk.

FUN FACT! iron golems take extra damage from pickaxes! Im not sure how much but i am 90% sure they take extra damage. Use a sword tho, it counts as using the wrong tool which takes 2 durability from your pickaxe.

Build a wall of lava! Get Drip stone blocks and pointy drip spikes and a cauldron and make an infinite lava resource. Build a wall made of cobblestone and use lava buckets for the outside so when they try to come to near a village they get burned. Get a good bow with infinity and fire on them! Block any cave entries so the Flesh that Hates has no way of getting in by underground. Dig out a moat and put lava around it. A lake of Lava! Quarantine the area where Flesh That Hates began! Make a Lava trap with trapdoors and lead them back into it.! Make a small house with a 6 by 4 hole and lava and put trap doors on top of it so they fall in and burn!

I try and try for a few seconds, and the audio starts to lag, stuck like a broken record on an "a" or "o" (in the middle of the sentence), it stays like that for another few seconds before the screen changes from the frame to the ":(" blue screen (from what i could tell the problem had to do with a .sys file). I get kinda concerned because the sound doesn't seem like it'll stop any time soon despite the blue screen, so I decide to wait it out for a few minutes while it tries to reboot, it fails like twice (I think) while diagnosing the issue... and then, these short bars (alternating between very colourful and black) appear like half a centimeter from the top of the screen. Now, this is probably normal, but I'm no tech/programming expert (despite knowing a few tricks and whatnot), so I get kinda MORE worried (and tired of listening to the grating laggy audio over and over again) as I'm not ready to go internet mystery mode or lose my pc (cause that was a fear for some reason), and just shut the whole thing off by "force" (by which I mean I kept holding down the on/off button until the pc screen went black). Only after that it manages to turn back on, at least on the second try and as of now the laggy sound is gone and everything is fine! Ik this probably had nothing to do with what I've been watching, but I watched a few ARGs this morning and thought this would make for a fun creepypasta inspo/base (creepysauce?) or sumn hahah
