you being “mean” has sent me on the path of actual recovery and therefore might’ve saved my life- not to mention all the others that watch. thank you for doing what you do, real recovery is not sugarcoated or nice or easy

I loved that blog - when I was congratulating myself for eating a twix yesterday I found myself saying (in your voice) great - but come on Emma - you know you could eat the whole fucking box! ... I'll get there - thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos and blogs - you make so much sense and I can't begin to say how instrumental you are in my recovery x

Holy shit!!! I just had a light bulb moment at 10:00 when you said "you probably have mental hunger" I have been equating mental hunger with thinking about food but when you said mental hunger watching videos about anorexia 🤯 at least the last 15 years have been a mental hunger for information to distract from my body and it's cues, desires, needs, etc. This shit is systemic!

Shoot - missed it! Your NO bullshit approach is exactly what I need right now and it has helped me tremendously on my healing journey. I can't say Thank you enough for making these videos ! ☆

Thank you for highlighting the recovery roller coaster! I had two really good days thinking "I was done" and then the hunger & thoughts hit again, throwing me off guard. This was a perfect explanation and encouragement that I'm not there yet. Tabitha, you're the best for doing these videos (hope I can catch the live at one point, in the UK) and I love how you call us out on ED behaviours and thoughts!

OMG What you are talking about regarding to reaction to some people who read your recent blog post is literally what I was talking with my friend who I shared your blog with yesterday. I was talking like Tabitha's approach sounds very harsh or too harsh to some people and they might feel kinda not feeling hugely because the truth you were talking about (restriction stuff) stimulate their defensiveness. I too feel I am called out for the little restrictions I still hold on to. I think we all know the restrictions we need to work on to stop in order to recovery and we know what we need to do but some of us have too strong resistance to it, which results in the defensiveness...! I feel your approach is harsh but it does not make me feel offended or anything bad. I see recovery is really hard even though I need to see it as if it is easy. Even though your approach looks harsh, we cannot be easy on recovery. we do not expect anything "easy" or "soft" for recovery journey. It is an arduous journey, but it is possible to recover as you are the living proof! Anyway, I really appreciate all the wisdom and advice you give us and the time you dedicate to people who pursue recovery from ED.

Another awesome video. I love your no bullshit approach, but would you say that there is something to be said for still congratulating someone for eating one bagel if that was really hard for them, but while also making it clear that that they can’t stop there and have to keep pushing themselves to eat more?

When people die from an ED, does their heart just give up? Or is it something else like suicide?
@Imagineadavidoutmusic4 жыл бұрын
Mostly due to heart issues.. secondly, yup.. suicide Also through weak immune systems that can't handle viral infections etc. anymore and the cold or the flu can lead to death...

No need to sugar coat but surely you should not be a b***ch, either. You can be utterly straightforward without being downright mean. You swear at people who are asking for your help.

Yup, you are completely right. I for one don’t like you. Congratulations!
