@davidb1412 0 seconds ago You have to understand. When I saw this in 1992, It melted my brain. I imagined all the machines, every time they did a core dump, reset a program, or moved a file as doing this. The first time i saw, photo realistic images that were CGI. I could never see computers as simple machines again. It altered my my mind, and made me see simple machines as something equal and lifelike. I cannot overstate the gravity of this video to me.

Tohle je opravdu vemli zdařilé, ta vyváženost melodií a jejich prolínání je jak z jiného světa. Úplně z toho sálá nezažitá nostalgie počátků počítačové animace.

The first piece in this video landed a blow on my essence many long years ago of that most rare kind. I assume most everyone can relate to hearing a tune that takes up residence in the deepest and most revered, sacred and forever protected location inside the heart that it can be heard over and over and over with no diminishing value whatsoever. This is one of my few. Magic Theater cast a spell on me via Beyond The Mind’s Eye when Mr. Hammer provided a bridge for it back in ‘82(?). And here it surfaces tonight by no real chance as I anticipate a long day ahead with little sleep. I’m grateful to everyone who made this moment possible for me. I’ll throw out another such tune in case by long chance it might strike a similar chord in someone. It’s a bit obscure but on Spotify: Summer - Pierre In The Air Remix by A.M.R. Claire Willis. If there was by some odd chance a gathering in my honor when I exit, I would like both pieces included in a medley of favorites that day.

Thanks for the impressions you’ve made within me, Jan. You’ve helped to cultivate an essence of creative mystification within this kindred spirit.

And then the next day you go and release a jazz version of theater of magic. How blessed in timing could that be.

3:00 Seen that Korean vikings before, it was made from Hyundai and whatnot? Especially Hyundai is the company of my home country, South Korea!

3:09 this is a turtle ship from 16th century, which was an armored battleship used by Joseon (now Korea). Pretty obscure ship but I guess it was interesting enough to someone who made this video.

Jan Hammer's "Curiosity Kills" is a VERY close relative to this, from the groove to the sax and the synth orch hits. I wonder if they were recorded around the same time? kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIWnf3Wgbt9lg8U

Yes, curiosity kills came up 1 year after this. But many bands from that time had this groove mistique sound, like enigma for example, but I'd like to discover more
@torley Жыл бұрын
@@pimentocheese618 I wonder if that was just released later, but actual production was during the same sessions. I know what you mean re: Enigma and I’m thinking of the swinging grooves. What are some other songs this reminds you of?
@pimentocheese618 Жыл бұрын
@@torley It could be possible they are from the same sessions...I'd like to discover more bands with this sound. Sadly i don't know more...I could recommend you Enae volare mezzo (mix) from Era, or Come Undone from Duran duran. And Gregorian which is Frank Peterson's project after he left Enigma
