Love both. It seems the comb offers a more defined and tighter curl, while the sponged curls look fuller and more natural. So I guess it would depend on whatever desired outcome you're in the mood for. Great tutorial, thanks!

I feel like the sponge would leave your hair drier because it will absorb the moisture and product. The comb won't do that so the moisture in your hair will last longer.

I think it depends which look you're going for or prefer like if you want a more voluminous look the sponge, but if you want the most definition then the comb

Both works well. Twist up is newer. I cut hair and I know with a sponge the harder you press down on the hair the more definitive the twist will be. Also the circular motion play a big part in the twist. A smaller motion give a different result than a wider motion

Best comparison video of the two. I purchased the Twisted Up Comb; one 2.0 and two 3.0 versions. I love how easy it is, how it allows me to wear my hair twisted up without any harsh chemicals, how it fits easily in my pocket and how it comes it so many cool colors. I get compliments on my hair everyday and the funny thing is people keep asking me if I'm about to loc it up for dreads. Honestly I just really like the cool twisted pattern and I could take it down very easily and then twist it right back up. Extremely low maintenance. Great product! 😎👍

Twist it up comb most definitely and I will definitely be buying one now. I love my twist sponge but it's kinda unsanitary to me (maybe because of my OCD) and its hard to clean lol but out with the old and in with the beautiful defined curls 😍❤️❤️❤️🌻

The racket gave you sharper coils- which I liked. I think you made a good choice lean bc the racket/comb will last much longer, and more importantly - it's also much more hygienic too.

Is it just me, who think the sponge gave a nicer look, quicker? People are talking about longevity, but that is not the question. What side do you like? Although, I like the sponge side, I am curious of trying the comb, for the ease of use and for the make of it. Period. People be real. I think the video should show before and after, not saying what was used for each side until the very end.

The sponge works better when you're starting with zero twists. Once twisted, the twist racket works better. Using something with beeswax before you start helps the twist hold form - I use Murray's. Once the sponge gets a little wear on it, small pieces will start to break off and deposit in your hair. Using the twist racket, you'll see all those small pieces of sponge come out. That being said, you really don't need the sponge, especially if it's an old one.

I am DEFINITELY TEAM tennis racquet comb!! The sponge has always been hit or Miss with my hair!! I would spend 5 to 10 minutes with the sponge!! Also when I curl my hair with the tennis racquet I STILL HAVE CURLY HAIR WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING!! I NEVER got such REMARKABLE RESULTS FROM THE SPONGE!! My only GRIPE with the tennis racquet is the cost!! The metal copy of the racquet comb is WAAAY TOO PRICEY!! 24.99 as opposed to the plastic model that costs only $6.99 I use the cheap plastic model and it gives me FLAWLESS CURLS!!

is it straight or wavy? if it’s straight, it’s possible that it may be too damaged to curl without some type of rollers like perm rods or flexi rods but these tools only help to define curls that are already there

if you use that or some type of curling cream and either one of these products, it should work. but i’m not sure exactly what your hair looks like so i’m not sure, but like I said these help to define curls you already have, not make it curly. so if gel makes it wavy, it might just define the waves
