How do u get the edges so straight during the blow drying process without burning the client?

Achaia W That is a good question because I have experienced the trauma being "burned" by a blow dryer. You wouldn't think it was capable of causing pain because it isn't touching your scalp, but it definitely can. I just had a flashback!

I might be asking a silly question but if you use a High setting of heat on your hair , is it normal to have that “flat iron” smell or “burnt” smell on your hair?

Heyit's Rah your hair should never smell like it burned. You may have the smell of the flat iron for an hour or so but you hair should not I repeat should not smell burned. You have damaged your hair at that point.

Heyit's Rah you also can clean your flat iron. I think people use rubbing alcohol on a qtip. It helps take off any oil build up on the plaits

PrincessLeah187 xx I think it's the heat combined with the hair being well moisturized before hand. Oil or serums would weigh the hair down.

Yes, blow drying vertically covers more area than straight across and under. I personally blow in every direction to make sure I get thta hair as silky straight as possible. Got to get those wringles out. Great result! 👍👍👍

Where are you located because I am rocking braids right now growing NY hair back going to wait and see the progress, I had cancer five years ago my hair had grow beautiful I went to a salon and the lady butcher my hair it was healthy I ask for a clip I got a chop after that it took so long before it to grow back, I been doing my own hair for a while with organics relaxer ,true story so I send my fiancé to the store to put me up a relaxer now I told him three the name brand I use he goes I got it, why did he still get the wrong one but it was my fault I didn't check the name it was a new company I am taking my shower hair come out in chucks, so now my hair is finally growing back edges coming back,but when it gets the length I want I will be coming to your shop you do gorgeous work.

Does anyone else’s hair frizz up or begins to revert back to curly when they straighten it???? I literally got a silk press today and as I was IN the chair my hair went from straight to frizzy. I literally do not know what to do I haven’t straightened my hair since September and the same thing happened then. The stylist said it’s because my hair isn’t heat trained but there’s people that get silk press after four years and their hair does not frizz. I’m going crazy. I feel like I’m on the verge of getting a texturizer next week. I’ve been natural since 2015.

Tiara Jones I only be natural about 2 months "transitioned for a year and 3months" and tried to get my hair straighten but the time I was finished and walked to the bathroom my hair was a puff ball... You might need some type of serum to Lightly weigh your hair to prevent frizz
