@@jameshumphrey9939 She same as killed her country . I don't know whose punishment was worse , her betrayal or the enemy's beatings. JANE FONDA I copied & paste this, as I was not able to share... Worth a read.... Never forget her treasonous actions 51 years ago. ************ Barbara Walters writes: Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country, but specific men who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War. The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho LoPrison, the "Hanoi Hilton." Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ's, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American "peace activist" the "lenient and humane treatment" he'd received. He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away. During the subsequent beating, he fell forward onto the camp commandant 's feet, which sent that officer berserk. In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant's frenzied application of a wooden baton. From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E's). He spent 6 years in the "Hanoi Hilton". . . The first three of which his family only knew he was "missing in action." His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the cleaned-up, fed and clothed routine in preparation for a "peace delegation" visit. They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they were alive and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security Number on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?" and "Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?" Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper. She took them all without missing a beat. . . At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper... Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day. I was a civilian economic development adviser in Vietnam, and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years. I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in Cambodia; and one year in a 'black box' in Hanoi. My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Banme Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border. At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs.) We were Jane Fonda's "war criminals." When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with her. I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received. . . and how different it was from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as "humane and lenient." Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched with a large steel weight placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane. I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She never did answer me. These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of "100 Years of Great Women." Lest we forget. . . "100 Years of Great Women" should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots. There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant treason, is one of them. Please take the time to forward to as many people as you possibly can. It will eventually end up on her computer, and she needs to know that we will never forget.

I'm shocked to see these comments decades after the Vietnam war. Some people will never see the truth regarding war, they still believe it's about freedom and not about money and power. This is the mindset that is keeping humans along with all life on this planet on the verge of instinction, sickening, intentional ignorance. Thank you, Jane for caring and being informed.

HPMcQueen Most, if not all the Australian bushfires were started by arsonists. So far, nearly 200 people have been arrested for these crimes. So called “Green” policies in that country banned the controlled burning of trees to create fire breaks. One owner who defied this crazy policy was fined $100,000 and yet when the fire reached his area, his was the only property left standing. She’s just another Ignorant, preening, virtue signalling celebrity who’s lies and stupidity has contributed to the tragedy of a billion dead animals in Australia.

I love this woman. I'm 24 and she's six decades older than me and she's one of my idols. Generation z and millenials love her and she has become an icon for younger people too. I hope she has many many more years with us, though I have to say this constant protesting and stress of the movement seems to be taking a toll on her. She looks a lot more tired and less energy filled than just a year ago. We love you Jane so much and need you for the next 10 years to fight this. So don't do it too hard, we all know you are passionate but youre also 82. Let us young lings do the stressful work and you take a week or two off now and then. You've been fighting for a better world for 60 years and deserve an occasional time to chill. Keep fighting and thank you Jane!! Also I may say she looks a little tired but she looks damn amazing for 82, the best 80 something in Hollywood. Would pass for late 60s. And don't try replying if you think climate change isnt real or say its natural. I live in Ireland and we have had double the storms and freak heatwaves and snow events in the past few years than in my whole life prior. Right now it's 13 degrees Celsius in January our coolest month of the year when it should be 4 degrees and colder at night with wintry feel and weather. Could well end up the mildest January in Ireland and Britain on record if it continues. The world is changing for the worse and we are responsible and as Jane said in 10 years it goes critical and the real horror show begins and climate cycles and nature habitats and food chains begin a rapid breakdown

I certainly appreciate the people demonstrating for Earth's future, but I think in our country we are missing a big opportunity to get all American's involved and not feel hopeless or helpless about the situation. The news agencies keep saying there is nothing any one person can do. While we do definitely need new leadership in government to get us to where we need to be on green innovation, there is a lot Americans can do if encouraged and there are millions of us. Just a few examples: Use less plastics whenever possible, eat less meat, when you can, walk or use public transit, petition companies to cut down or eliminate plastic wrapping, etc. etc. etc.

Not necessarily. They just need to be influenced by third party perceptions of them. So in a democracy, it depends on the whole electorate's perception. But even dictatorships still rely on foreign trade partners, and their perceptions.

Gene Sharp has proven this to be completely wrong! All that's required is to win the respect of the people & the power shifts from the government to them. If the government have no conscience & kill protesters, those protesters need to become martyrs to inspire more people with consciences to take their power from them. A government cannot rule a people who reject their authority, no matter how violent or lacking in conscience they are

natural instinct is also an option for nonviolence to reach the one you are facing againts. it will also work, if your opponent hat a minimum of what a normal dog would have, if you show gestures of humility. not working on those bred to hate and figt. or those already drugged to lower their instintcs...

Hey Jane, you are a heroine! the longer you live, the better the world would become! long live Jane Fonda! although i am from Saigon, Vietnam and I knew you were doing something to the American Soldiers that caused the fall of Saigon, and I am one of the victims of Saigonese and Vietnamese people when the northern communist has been savaging the South of Vietnam and Saigon for over six decades until this moment, I have to say that it is because you come from America and you did not understand exactly what happening to the Vietnamese people back then, if you did, I am pretty sure you would protest the Vietnam war in a much different way than what you did, so I do not hold begrudges against you! You are doing a great thing now to sacrifice yourself to save our planet and to call out other celebrities to do the right thing!
