Stephen Perkins is one of my favorite rock drummers of all time. The singer (Perry Farrell) has a voice that has to be acquired by some. It’s pretty dope that it didn’t turn you off. Three days is an amazing song that is long with many transitions but it gets better with every listen. After you’re familiar with it the solos throughout middle up Eva of the song, over the tribal drumming becomes a quasi-religious experience.

Conceived and created in 1991 by Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell as a farewell tour for his band, Lollapalooza ran annually until 1997, and was revived in 2003. From its inception through 1997 and its revival in 2003, the festival toured North America. In 2004, the organizers decided to expand the dates to two days per city, but poor ticket sales forced the 2004 tour to be cancelled.

When I got married we had the DJ play this song when we were introduced for this first time. We were behind double doors and the intro started playing and just as the beat was dropped, the doors swung open and we made our entrance. Yes, I know, it was epic.

I know it doesn't sound like much, but between '89-92, these guys ruled the world! Heavy, funky, and dark, and with coming from L.A, there was a weird Doors vibe about them! Saw them live, after a nose full of Peruvian marching powder, and words fail me!

It's cool you're giving songs like this a chance. Perry Ferrell's voice was indeed an instrument, he know how to inflect and write good songs. This one's was about two of his friends that passed away from addiction. You should check out "The Cutter" by Echo and the Bunnymen from 1983. Enjoyed your reaction!

Janes Addiction is SO UNDER APPRECIATED and too quickly forgotten - Perry is a front man among front men, Dave Navarro is a ROCK STAR on guitar and I LOVE Steve Perkins on drums - he is in my TOP 4 with John Bonham, Bill Ward and Neil Peart. Ocean Size is FIRE - Janes has great transitional tracks, this one is great but straight. Also Pigs in Zen, Summertime Rolls, nothings shocking - or just do ALBUMS because they are worth it. ENJOY this rabbit hole. I'll be watching!

Jane Addiction's biggest hit was Been Caught Stealing Mountain Song's good, but Pigs In Zen or Ted, Just Admit It from the same album will blow your mind. The whole Ritual de lo Habitual album is awesome- That and Nothing's Shocking are their two must-have albums.

I just finished a book about this band. Perry Farrell had a group of roommates, one of which was Jane. Jane had a heroin addiction and the rest of the roommates, minus Perry, wanted to kick her out. They thought she was the source if all their troubles, but they were wrong. Perry was the only one to defend her.

Amazing band... one of the early influencers for a lot of bands after them. Sure you heard of them in the background on shows, movies etc. Perry Farrell is a " one of a kind " type of dude lyrically, vocally and for sure spiritually. Like many others will tell you.
