For those who don't know the beautiful & sharp-witted Jane, Michael Bennett cast her as "Sheila" in the London production of "A Chorus Line" which played the Drury Lane Theatre in 1977.

I worked for her father, Larry Summerhays, who was a Utah attorney. Years ago, when I visited NYC, Larry asked Jane to get me tickets for "Chorus Line" and to take me to lunch afterwards. She was fantastic in the show and extremely gracious to me.

Who the hell is Jane Summerhays AND why are you telling people she was an original cast member of ACL? She was not! Kelly Bishop was the first Shiela and the best, and she won a Tony for her performance.

She was Kelly Bishop's first replacement as Shiela in the original production of A Chorus Line.

Bobby Vegas the description says “original Broadway production,” which is correct, not “original Broadway cast,” which, as you pointed out, would be incorrect were that the case. Miss Summerhays played Shiela in the original run of A Chorus Line, replacing Miss Bishop.

She also played a demon masquerading as Doris Kramer in the "Tales From The Darkside" episode called "Let The Games Begin". Opposite David Groh, the two battled over the immortal soul of Earl Hindman who had died of a heart attack.
