Only just discovered Janelle Monae, and the ArchAndroid album, which is verging on mind-blowing - an extremely talented and creative musician! But having watched a few live performances on youtube, including this one, it seems her vocal delivery is not the most relaxed in front of big audiences - on the album in this song there is some really lovely and intricate timing and delivery of the lyrics, which is lost in this live performance.
