Can you only drive through or can you get out and walk?

+sakecity7 Yes, there are many places you can get out and walk. Janes Scenic Dr. is the main road through the park and there are several "trams" that they keep cleared that can be hiked. kzbin.info/aero/PLFtl016Y_sMOpWlkEg7zTlE1WkxIQsXiC -This is a playlist and there are several videos of mine that are of specific hikes off and on Janes Scenic Dr.

Project Bolony Thanks for responding and yes, I have watched your other videos on hiking the Fakahatchee. I left this comment before I checked out your channel. I love the videos you post, btw. I'm born and raised in South Florida and a huge wildlife/nature fanatic. I love exploring the wild places as well, although I've mostly just spent time around the Micosukee/Shark Valley area. You can see some of my wildlife videos on my channel. I haven't been out west yet. I'm planning to do it soon. How did you figure out those trails? Just as you went along or did you map it out first? And how early can you go out there?

sakecity7 I believe it is a sunrise to sunset or close to it. There is no camping, but there are property owners with "camps". There is a ranger station closer to Hwy 29 on Janes Scenic. I have never been to it, but I am sure they have lots of info. I just explore and then have a direction for the next trip. I read a couple of blogs that posted they mow one time a year for the race in February - The Everglades Ultra - That opens lots of trails up.

Project Bolony Yeah, I was assuming it was sunrise to sunset. That makes sense. I was just wondering if there is someone there that will turn you away if you show up too early. I'd like to get there at the crack of dawn. And I saw the video where you mentioned that marathon. I really wish they didn't hold that marathon there. Too much commotion for such a pristine habitat. What is the animal you saw that you were most excited about? Have you seen any big mamals besides deer?

+sakecity7 Never have, but have seen tracks. Only gators, snakes, and birds. I have seen coyotes in Golden Gate Estates (Now Picayune) on the way. The roads are long and straight, so I get out and look through binoculars or the long zoom on the camera. I have gone there at daylight before. Usually, by the time I get where I want to go, it is already 7am. They have not ever said anything. They do have game cameras out there on some of the trails, but I am just walking.
