Thanks for these tutorials. I've had autodesk sketchbook installed for ages but this is the first time I've felt I grasp how to work with it in a way that suits me.

Just curious why you did not use the symmetry when doing the patterns? Thank you for the tutorial! I learned a lot.

Thanks for your question Stephanie, You can definitely use symmetry for doing the patterns as well. I think I was going for a more organic and random look to my textures inside my symmetrical shapes. Just a different take on it, like a loose painting. But for sure you can set the symmetry on after your selections and just texture one area with it repeating all the way around. Thanks for the great question. Enjoy

This is really helpful and well done. Thanks! I have a related question - I have seen lots of tutorials for using a screen layer to replace the black ink in a drawing with a color overlay pattern. Lots of tutorials show this in Procreate using concentric color circles that are blurred. I have figured out how to do that. What if I then wanted to add texture to a mandala that was colorized using this screen method? Can I combine the techniques?

You could add texture using the same method. Texure is just shades of grey in patterns when you are using it digitally. Using layers also helps, such as mulitply and colour burn for instance. There are good tutorials on you tube on these ideas.
