Janet deserves her flowers. What Michael did for the Solo Artist is what Janet did for the Dance Community and Choreography. She put it back on the map. She raised the bar. Any Artist then, now, or later will forever draw from her. She's one of the best to ever do it. As far as Female Artists, Duos, or Groups and Dance.....She's got to be thought of as Number 1. She's so bad in a good way.

I was in awe when I first saw this video, she was the first female artist I saw(who wasn't a background dancer), singing center stage & dancing full on with intricate choreography. It blew my mind, Janet is a gem to be treasured, from the best music videos, best choreography, to some of the best songs you can dance to, chill to, make love to, feel good to...she has it all! She changed the game and opened a whole other door that the next gen of ladies has successfully been able to walk through ( Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Mya, Ciara...the list goes on)And still going strong because "damn baby" from her latest album goes hard! Oh and let's not forget her writing, vocal arranging and co-producing credits on all of her albums since Control.🙌🏾

Style of dance is jazz. Which is hardly used nowadays. Some artists of the 90s to use that style of dance for most of their careers that you know of are Britney Spears, Mya, and Jennifer Lopez. Paula Abdul really helped pioneer that style esp because besides of having a solo career she helped shaped Janet's by choreographing for her. Two artists who are current that make use of jazz technique as far as dance goes are Tinashe and Normani. The reason it looks somewhat similar to breakdancing is because they have similar roots. Loving your reactions!
