Hope this video is helpful for anyone else planning a move to Mexico or anyone apartment hunting in Tulum. it can be stressful but be patient and you'll find the right place in the end! One extra piece of advice: try to visit properties in the middle of the day to see if they're like a sauna and also to see if there's construction noise around. Two big problems in Tulum anyway. And test the damn WiFi!!!! haha

Thank you so much for this video. This is so helpful, Janet. I am wondering if you could give me some tips on where to go in Mexico for Dec for about a week or two: Tulum, Cozumel, Quintana Roo? Factors including beach weather, places to go, less touristy spots... I love holes in the wall places for food and quiet beaches and perhaps somehwere to dive. Any advice you can give would be amazing. thank you so much!

Tulum will be insanely busy. Cozumel will be much quieter and beaches are empty. Maybe Holbox would suit you too!!

I've no idea who the developer is haha. The only problem right now is there is a lot of construction nearby so it's very loud! I did meet the architect and he building another building with almost 360' pool at the end of La Valeta.

Hi Janet! How is the WiFi in Tulum? Is it OK for Zoom calls and working remotely?

For Zoom and things like that it's been fine. For upload speed it can be terrible. And it all depends on where you rent. Some apartments have terrible reception and allow speeds.

A thousand dollars in Mexico is 20 ,000 pesos where a person making minimum wage is around 300 dollars a month, this world is not real to the vast majority of Mexico I think you can do or save more
