I guess its either that or use the proper title sponsor Stake but advertising a gambling site to kids is a no no. That and gambling is illegal in some countries. Kick is actually the chassis name. The full team name is Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber Ferrari. Nice and simple....

They are still the title sponsor of 1 of the 10 teams on the grid and would be for the next season. It doesn't make any sense to just omit them from the line.

Why not? Clearly this is a partnership with FIA, and just like Lego makes gun exceptions for star wars, Lego with make exceptions for other brand partnerships too.

Never bought the license, they collaborated with formula 1, they own all 10 teams, who have sponsors, they never had to be the license from the sponsors, they just needed the licence from formula 1

Im surprised they went through the effort to design the suspension pieces but no halo. A halo is a guarenteed thing for f1 until maybe closed cockpits but those wheel arches most likely wont be there for as long. Also got the CaDA sauber and Rastar RB19 and look forward to the comparison. So far though, they both look to have won the aesthetics.

I’m so hyped for this Speed Champions wave. I really really love the team availability this F1 partnership is bringing too, fan of Ferrari - they’ve got you covered. Haas supporter? Boom, they’ve got you covered. Buy 1, buy 2 etc. or buy all 10. The option is there and I’m here for it. Great work from both sides to really commit to the venture.

that tiny Red Bull has better colouring than the Speed Champions Red Bull. This will be my first CMF series I buy - a nice half grid of tiny cars to go with my selected SC cars and the two icons. Schumacher Ferrari Icons next please

F1 isn't my thing, but I got a lot of great space stuff this past year, so I can't complain! I hope the car fans get a lot of fun out of these new sets. Speed Champion builds are almost always a joy to build regardless of the vehicle. I doubt I'll bother with the CMF line since there are no actual figures, but there may be a few that appeal to me. I will admit that they're adorable. They're also a great way to get more of those helmets too if someone wants to build up a racing team with certain livery colors.

The rollcage/not-windshield seems bent when you look at the 360° view of the orange car. It cant be a "flex tube" (hardish plastic, hollow center), but it's not hard plastic either. My bet is on something similar to the very flexible pneumatic tubes.

We've got a Gulf sponsor on one car, and Shell is back with the Ferrari haha. It was silly LEGO ever bowed to pressure and stopped the Shell stuff anyway. But, this stuff looks cool for F1 fans!

I'm happy with the changes and improvements made to this line up of Speed Champions F1 cars. I'm not happy by ANOTHER price increase in the UK for the sets in the theme, which are now £23, a roughly 10% increase from £21 this year.

These sets are awesome! I love this slate of formula 1 sets! The collectibles formula 1 series is cool, it reminds me of Lego Racers, so I like it. The Lego city sets are similar to old speed champions sets that are expensive and hard to find, so its good there’s new similar sets. Lego could’ve done accurate drivers, if the drivers switch teams the face could be swapped with the other teams drivers.

The "blind boxes" are a must by for me. Beyond cute. One thing that is interesting - none of the cars for the SC series seem to have numbers on them. I was thinking that perhaps they would include 2 sets of numbers so SuperFans of F1 could buy 2 of each car and have a complete grid of 20 cars [not being forced to do that, but for fans that wanted to]. I'd be curious as the reason why TLG opted out of including numbers for the cars. I mean, people can still buy 2 of each if they want, but interesting about the numbers. They really did go subtle on the rear tyres being wider on the SC cars didn't they? At least the Icons set has more noticeable rears. I hope the render or photo is off and the texture is the same on the Icons set as it would kinda represent different wear to the slicks, which is a bit odd, in universe. I hope they put those tyres up on pick-a-brick so I can update the Senna set! Queue the revolt when people see the DUPLO stuff and how it comes with all the teams in one box. ;) Looking forward to seeing what you think of the City sets as the unofficial pix make very, very excited for one of the sets in particular. I also expect a Friends F1 set or 2 because it seems like they are doing with F1 next year, what they did with Space this year, and having all major themes get touched by it [DUPLO, Friends, System, Technic].

I think the collectible F1 cars should've had flesh tone heads for the actual drivers so fans could swap them out with the Speed Champions ones (I'm assuming they're yellow)

I do not understand Legos marketing and sales strategy at all. Some things they put up early on the website like the F1 cars for March. Some things they do not and only tell you about a week or two prior to release. Some things you can pre order. Some things you cannot. All the while, somehow, people get leaked (or supplied) info to all the upcoming sets months before the website announcement.

That disappointment when I realized that FW14 was not a speed champion 😭. Really nice of them to do all(?) the teams in one go on the speed champions, if I had infinite money I would definitively have bought them all even though I don't follow formula one nowadays. Those minis are fun and cute but blind packaging so that will be a pass for me, I don't play those game.

I now feel worse about buying the old McLaren formula 1 car set, seeing the new version being leaugues better. But... I bought it mostly for parts anyway and didn't put the branding stickers on them because I didn't like them. Might actually get some of those F1 sets, I like the Red Bull ones in particular and the tiny cmf cars, and the Icons Renault is amazing! Even though I don't like Red Bull or energy drinks in general, I like Red Bull Racing as a livery and promotor of motorsports.

I hate the LEGO can’t do prints because we don’t have room for it all argument. We pay a premium for sets (and I’m okay with that usually), so I expect them to reinvest that money into infrastructure which will provide the customer with more premium product.

The blind box CMF style cars would be cool for race fans and little kids, but for a non race fan I am not fond of them. I will skip them and wait to see what the 3rd wave of CMFs are for the Fall/Winter.

I'm glad F1 fans can get their teams' car as accurately as possible, but I'm a little disappointed with lego selling these toys with some of the sponsors on them. They've taken some steps so they can have their cake and eat it too: the 18+ on redbull cars (which should be on the kick car too imo), removing branding and sponsors and keeping only colors in duplo and city sets. Still, I don't know, it all feels a little bit wrong somehow.

This should have been a sub-line released alongside a new wave of regular sports cars. Speed Champions have always been Sports and Super cars with the occasional race spec. I hope F1 isn’t the new normal going forward.

I can't believe they keep shipping the same 4 identical tires on the big Technic models. One would have thought they would have already recovered the costs of the developing new molds after THREE different F1 sets. But no, they insist on that design, it's laughable. As long as they do it I cannot justify buying one of them. The CaDA Alfa Romeo is much, much better.

I love Jang calling out the hypocrisy around things like fossil fuels. Also it sucks that they've improved the Icons F1 wheels now after they already did the the Senna one. They should've known people buying an 18+ set would want a more detailed accurate model. So many people are buying custom tyres online for the Senna set. It's a joke that Lego acts like they can't do this stuff when we see other brands do it and sell their sets much cheaper. Hell we're even seeing Lego themselves doing it now

Im glad lego is continuing the speed champions sets but not too sure im going to continue to collect them for vaious reasons i dont do anything other than build them and i dont do yourube or social media sharing my lego hobby and i might be the only late 80s kid not sharing my lego passion on line but i do enjoy lego and so do my children and a bit burnt out honestly but its nice to see jang still going strong .
