Here in the States, Panera Bread has the same thing. You pay what you can afford. Within reason. But a bowl of Corn Chowder with a slice of thick bread for a dollar. Ya!!

Your meal seemed...fine lol. With $1, can't really complain. I'd go for instant ramen. Also egg(s) if possible...I'm not sure where they sell individual eggs though.

Should have stayed at Martin place for dinner. The mobile food truck comes around every night there as well as out the front of woolloomooloo pcyc across from the domain and a bit further down the road on cathedral st. If you are really strapped for cash, most community groups/centres feed the homeless and people who are struggling financially.

Yeah, freebies are the best! Expos are also a good source. Obviously the food-themed ones are best though often not free entry, but the free or free with pre-registration shows, like the Home Show, Careers, Everywoman, Concious Living Expos, etc will just about always have some free edible stuff like lollies, coffee, cooking demo/product samples, etc :)

@@JaniceFung none of the ones I listed are food-themed. Most of the food-themed ones eg Good Food and WIne Show, etc, usually cost, though you can sometimes get discounted tics & 2-4-1 tics with preregistration :)

You can only get free food if you go st. Vincent de Paul or Salvation Army.. the only food you can have buy under $10 is sausage rolls or meat pie,but if you really want to eat a good meal go to the restaurant spend about $20

I was hoping maybe westfield sydney cbd as our first 2 nights in sydney we are staying at the swissotel, and as we dont have aldi here in tasmania at all, it would be awesome to grab a couple of things close to the hotel :) that we can take on our P&O cruise (the reason we are going to sydney) :)

Janice, I am confused. I thought you spent 95 cents for the Roti earlier.... did I miss you starting another day? I am very much enjoying your videos, this one was just a bit confusing. With the noodles and the ketchup and salt. I guess that left out any other spices you might have had at home. I am with you, I would have looked for the noodle mix packets. Some have veggies in them.

kinda suck where food is so expensive. Actually it doesn't cost much, its the screwed up labour wages which brings up the costs. In asian countries, food are cheap! For AUD 1, you could eat a meal, or a temple, you can eat for FREE!😅

How cheap can you live in Sydney? Lol "quite" good are key words it means the meal sucked! 😂👍 I'm always interested to see how cheap I could go with meals. I remember a guy years ago who used to buy half a carrot, 1 bean, the smallest chilli, the smallest potato, the smallest amount of veges yet surprisingly he made quite an edible meal for a very cheap price.😂👍

I got the 10 bucks credit by signing up to the app and then the bc the food cost less than $10 I was able to use the credit and not have to pay for it :)

Janice Fung yes Costco is famous for their food samples. Just meander around the food section and there will be little stands where you can help yourself to whatever they’re promoting. Some people here in California actually stand there while helping themselves to multiple samples (of the same food!) while chit chatting with the ladies serving them! Shameless!
