Janicza is brilliant. Her story reminded me of something a small business owner I worked for said to me while he was developing a new product. "I don't know what I'm doing; so I can't make any mistakes!" There is wisdom in this. Wells, Kubrick and Allen are examples of directors who did not have previous experience; yet made remarkable films.
