Yes puffpuff is fried dough. (pronounced puff puff, not poof poof😂) The E in Eguisi is pronounced same as the E in Egg. The J in Jollof is actually pronounced like the J in Jug. It's not a Spanish word😂 The native name for the hibiscus drink is actually Zobo (the O in Zobo is pronounced like "oh") I'm Nigerian🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 and I'm so happy you guys made this video🥰

Nigerians and Ghanaians see m to have a lot of things in common. We have fufu, jollof and the puff puff which we call "bofrot". I think the only difference is the Nigerian soups are thicker and will probably be called stews here in Ghana as compared to our more liquid soups yknw. But I love that they're African food.

Lots of Love from Ghana!!🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭 Also point of correction …..Fufu originated in Ghana but this dish is specific to Nigerian culture. Typically it’s not chewed but I’m glad you were able to enjoy eating it with your hands. The red sauce you dipped your chicken in is probably stew. And I can’t wait for the part 2!!!!!

When u say fufu originated from Ghana, it's misinformation.... Because Ghanian fufu, is prepared differently. And what these guys ate in this video is probably pounded yam, which is not a Ghanian thing. Although, the only swallow we call fufu in Nigeria is made from fermented cassava. The Igbos also call It akpu. Others are eba, demo, pounded yam, starch, Amala nd so on.
@elitaappiah-kubi1946
@elitaappiah-kubi1946 Жыл бұрын
@@KomeEmielu Regardless my point of correction still remains. The only difference I would add is that they should call the food by the name that it actually is (that name being pounded yam and not fufu). But of course still so grateful for them embracing the African culture!

And Jollof rice is a meal made by most West Africans❤❤❤....proud Ghanaian and African 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭 Edit Those Nigerians replying my comment obviously don't understand what I said. I'm excited you like and enjoyed eating our staples in Nigeria but the fufu is rolled with one hand and you got the swallow right.! The hibiscus drink is called zobo and its made with a bit of ginger. You don't dip the sauce/stew (tomato and pepper stew), you just mix it up with your jollof rice or plain white rice. Its usually mayo that is mixed with the salad (diced vegetables). The Puff puff is our go to snack and its made with flour and a bunch of other ingredients. Love you from Nigeria

Yeah please do food from South Africa too! Braai (which is grilled meat but on on a fire bbq) with potato salad as well as pap(which is like grits) with tomato&onion sweet/sour gravy, Milktart, Malva Pudding, Potjiekos (btw Jamie Fine loves this), Biltong (soft ones) and pur Cream Soda as it's not the same as yours and only the same in African countries, India (I think), some European places (I think) and yeah also Boere (Farmers) Koeksisters and Cape Malay Koeksisters. Also, tradisional Biryani SA style. Kota (slamg for quater) is also good and similar is beef or mutton "Bunny Chow" (not sure why they call it that, but it's not rabbit 🤭. You can also try "Kerrie & Rys" (Ground Beef / Mince curry with rice and sprinkled with coconut and sliced banana, topped with Mrs. Balls (brand name) Fruit Chutney (sweet/savoury jam/jelly tipe of condiment) which also goes well with other meats. We even have a potato crisp chip made in that flavour which is really nice. "Simba" is the brand name. ❤🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

Guys respectfully this ISN’T Nigerian food. All these foods are in a lot of west African countries but ppl only generally know the Nigerian term for it. We have puff puff in Ghana but we don’t call it that but others don’t know that so they just refer to it as puff puff. Plus fufu is a staple Ghanaian dish from Ghana as well as other African countries also having this as their dish. So respectfully to the Nigerians claiming everything, not every African dish is yours. We all eat similar/the same food but with different names. Thank you and have a good day.
