This has to be one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard. Am I the only one who hears [what was perhaps] some of the inspiration for the "Binary Sunset" theme that John Williams wrote for Star Wars?

It comes as a surprise that John Williams stole everything he is famous for? How about his award winning shinders list vs pezzo capriccioso by the Russian combined with Dvorak’s song my mother told me.

Boy, Tchaikovsky knew how to write a melody! Too bad nobody today can even come close and many composers, in deciding to be modern, write no melodies at all. Their music is interesting but tells us nothing we want to hear.

Well you can't do that the whole time, you shouldn't get used to practicing like that. Your body will hurt. But in a preformence things like this can come out of emotion. As once said Music is about mastering the rules, then forgetting about them and playing with your feelings!

I learn this song in 2 weeks as an advanced violinist,phrasing is difficult 3:20 is hard to be in tune perfectly.Also there are some up bow slurred staccatos which may be difficult to some(I did’nt face any difficulty but I assume one must have good enough technique to play it)Hardest part is the phrasing.And it’s for advanced violinist only beginner violinist will sound utterly out of tune or sound not elegant by employing the “simpier fingerings” or play it with awful intonation
@manfred76574 жыл бұрын
Also the introduction is mean to be played with a mute which Jansen did not I Guess because she is playing in a big hall.Playing with a mute and projecting requires skills too different bow speed and pressure
@angstybulbasaur17124 жыл бұрын
Actually, the whole thing is supposed to be played with a mute. I know this because the beginning of the third movement says "senza sordino"
@angstybulbasaur17124 жыл бұрын
Im currently learning this piece right now, and im not finding it too difficult. There's only one shift that's a bit icky, but other than that, you are completely right about how phrasing is the most difficult part. Im on my 5th year of violin playing and im working on this piece for an audition. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to my comment.
