Engin, didn't you say that if someone is clearly winning the match, the elbow infrigment should not count for the one that is losing to get a restart? I think that is what happened on round 5 with Justin... Janis was in control and he fouled to restart the round...

That was one of my favorite matches that night to watch. I didn’t think Justin was going to look that great, but holy crap. He turned that match into an absolute war. Janis proves why everyone calls him the Jedi lol.

That's probably why Larratt told Justin (just before the 5th round) he should have "hit and regripped, hit and regripped". And he went there and... did no regrips. That's why he lost

Janis is always in top tier conditioning/shredded. Being lean is going to decrease arm measurements quite a bit.

I feel like Janis v Justin follows the same blueprint most times. Justin crazy top roll and side pressure early. Janis dumps wrist. Justin loses hand tryin to finish and then Janis takes over. Always a battle.

Toproll needs alot of pronation but without strong cup you cannot get full hand control. Levan has the strongest cup that is why he always take his opponent hand

I'm not a fan either. Talks when he shouldn't (espeically right before the go) repeats the same jokes, mispronounces names. I think Devon has been doing a great job actually. I still like Neil, Ryan and Derick.

Why is the ref continuously baiting false starts with the “don’t move”? It’s not even ready go rules it’s just go so the “don’t” could easily be mistaken for go. He just kept on doing it

Unpopular opinion there shouldn’t be any fouls. You do something not in the rules it’s an instant forfeit of that round. These top guys have enough skill and experience to control their arm. Secondly only refs grip with straps, you see a guy trying to cheat and gain advantage they forfeit the round. This would force competitors to keep it fair. Sure if there are only 5 rounds the match would be over instantly, but easy hack just have more rounds.
