A rare chance to see & hear Janis perform a movie soundtrack clip of her song. An upbeat version featured on the Mellencamp film "Falling from Grace" - Kathleen Brogan

I probably one of the few who loved that movie! Even had the soundtrack. Thank you Janis!

movie was horrible, but the soundtrack was criminally unheard and unrecognized.

I love it. One of my all time favorite movies. Larry McMurtry wrote the screenplay. He also wrote the Paul Newman classic “Hud”. It was a heavy influence on JM (he’s character’s name in the movie was “Bud”), and the father I always thought it was Hud 30 years later, a real sunofabitch. was I was overseas, had the VHS, probably watched it a hundred times.

THANK YOU KATHLEEN! She's been my favorite since I was 15 back in 1970. Have you read her autobiography? (And I still have all her old vinyls!)

Nice to meet you, Keith. Not only have I read it....check out my Amazon review of the book to find out about the "Galley" auction! I have a sealed vinyl collection of all the LPs!

I've never had tax issues but I am a carer for my mum-and heaven help us both if we were deprived of our income, as Janis was when she was inspired to write this song. I have a very wealthy friend who has promised to carry us if something were to ever happen financially. Still I have barely survived some terrible experiences and this song epitomises the feelings of those of us who have been tempted to give up when life is at its worst.
