I’ve had mine for about 4 years now. It’s overall an excellent machine and happy with most fabrics ( I’ve used weights from gauze and silk to tweeds, boiled wool and canvas). It does labour a bit with very heavy fabrics though. The one facet that I’m not totally happy with is the buttonhole function. On occasion, it will “ throw a wobbly” and not complete the buttonhole! Possibly this is related to the fabric thickness.? Any advice you have would really be helpful. Perhaps the topic for a video?

I can't find what needles this machine takes. I have a Brother machine at the moment which takes the 130/705 needles and wondered whether they would fit the Janome. Thanks.

@@SewEssential Thank you. I'm just looking at the moment, but I noticed that this machine had adjustable presser foot pressure (which my current machine does not have, and I think it would be handy to have that facility).
