Thank you for this video. Right in the middle, I paused it and grabbed some ribbon, some stabilizer, and some 40 wt Sulky gold thread. Wow, I love how it turned out. This will be fabulous for the holidays. I admit, you scared me a bit with the "avoiding the tension disc in the bobbin" but it turned out great! Thanks again! (I'm a fairly new owner of the Skyline 7 - I love it!)

I have never tried stitch stacking. I am a new Janome user so this is new and exciting for mr. I quilt mostly but starting to sew some bags and will try some of it on them. I do use decorative stitching to sew down my quilt binding.

Great information on decorative stitches! I really appreciate the tip to push the lock button to finish the decorative stitch before machine actually locks the stitching! I have a Janome QDC4300 that I mainly use for piecing quilt tops--love it. I want to make a sample of each of my stitches so I can actually see them on fabric, maybe that will inspire me to use them more. Thanks again for the information.

I bought the Janome 1050 dc with zero knowledge on sewing machines. I originally purchased it to create active wear so all my fabrics I’ve tried to sew with my machine are stretchy, I also bought stretch thread to use and a stretchy jersey knit needle.. I can’t seem to figure out why the stitching doesn’t come out right at all could it be the fabric or the thread I’m using? Should I try embroidery thread on my stretchy fabrics? It looked like from this video she didn’t move the fabric around at all? I was wondering if I was moving my fabric down too quickly or have to go over it a few times? I’m so lost. I wonder if this was the right purchase for the projects I had in mind :( I finally got the super basic stitching to look okay but even then the other side looks different and a bit more “lose” my tension is at a 4 and that alone helped a lot but stitching looks nothing like it should someone please help

Nice video what stitch was used last, the bobbin thread, and you sewed on the wrong side? Camera work was a bit blurry hard to make some of it out. Didn’t know you could use it old school and pull the bobbin thread up yourself thank you.

Linda, the last stitch shown is one of the Heirloom decorative stitches, and is stitch 01 in this category on the Memory Craft 14000 machine that is used by our Educator in this live video. I hope that helps, and Happy Sewing!

Alba? I want to do decorative topstitching on my bindings from the front. I'm thinking I need to use the AccuFeed foot. What stitches do you suggest? Is it even possible? I have the 9450 (new to me).
@regenacarlevaro67973 жыл бұрын
Hello Ann! You sure can use your AcuFeed feet with decorative stitches. We recommend that you always do a test first and use the stitches that travel forward, avoiding the stitches that the machine has to feed backwards, as you won't have as much success with the finished stitch. Have fun and enjoy!!

Which Janome machines have the serpentine stitch ? I have the Mod-50 and don't see it. thanks
@JanomeJAI11 ай бұрын
The MOD-50 machine has 50 stitches shown on the front of the machine and listed individually in your manual. This machine does not have a serpentine stitch. Stitch #16 may look like one, but it is made to attach elastic.
