I will ty the HP foot and hope for a better scant quarter inch seam.
@JanomeJAI
@JanomeJAI 2 жыл бұрын
Eleanor, which machine and which presser foot are you using? On some models you can set your seam to a 1/4 inch. If you are looking for a scant 1/4, move your needle position one or two spots to the left of that 1/4. Try it out and see! On many machines you can then save it as a favorite stitch and always have the 1/4 inch or scant 1/4 inch that works for your projects. Happy sewing!

does Janome make true quarter inch foot for the M7 ? By true I mean one that guides you to a quarter inch seam without having to move the needle way off to the side so it appears all wacky.

So which one would you recommend for piecing, the O foot or the walking foot?
@JanomeJAI

For piecing regular quilting cotton, the O foot is perfect. The Dual Feed feet are great when it comes to layers or slippery fabrics. Happy Sewing!

It's my understanding that some of these feet are model specific. For instance, I have a Skyline S7 and I don't think the HP foot will work with it. Please let me know what you're experience is regarding that foot and model. Thanks!

@@JanomeJAI I'm using the 6700. The HP foot and stitch plate are easy. Trying to use the other feet is nearly impossible. I don't know which stitch to use for straight stitch. I've had this over 4.5 years and I don't know how to tell the machine which foot to use. Can you go over all the settings, mode, stitch etc to get the 1/4" seam, and have the machine recognize that I'm using the OD or whatever. Thanks so much!

I suggested you should put the model number to each one of the foot in the video, so we can buy the model that suit to our needs, instead of going over to you websign and look through all the accessories to get to the presser feet categories and to find out the one I see here. it is a waste of time to customers who just want to have one single item.
