Yep, 59 yesterday and right there with you. For more than 30 years my bike was my daily transport and I did go to rallies all year round, I've camped with snow on the ground a couple of times but I'm afraid that like you these days I like my central heating!

Lovely Mother and Daughter video Charlie. You need waterproof boots and as a backup waterproof socks. Cold wet feet (or hands) make the whole of you feel cold. I also wear a belt with built-in handles for my granddaughter to hold onto when she goes pillion. Enjoy the Dragon.

Excellent Charlie 👍. A proper mum and daughter bonding camp. Here's a tip for you, when I used to camp years ago up in the Yorkshire dales, with mates, I found that if you stick a your pullover in the bottom of your sleeping bag, it keeps your feet toasty warm 😉 try it, it really works.

Great video Charlie! I wood go riding here in Washington State in the North West US but it has been down to 0 F or -17 C with snow on the ground. I have ridden in cold snowy weather but that was many years ago when I was in my 20's. Not some thing I want to do at the ripe old age of 72.

Lovely to see your daughter as pillion.my wife refused to be pillion due to a school friend dying as a pillion. However my 3 daughters have all been my pillion and loved it. Great days out, great bonding, forever memories. The middle one has done all her tests and progressed to a 650 gladius and now a street triple as well as her 140i bmw. A true petrol head. It’s strange because I am a terrified pillion

What a cool Mum! I took my youngest daughter out on my Enfield Interceptor a few weeks ago (her first time on a bike), and now, whenever the weather looks okayish, she's badgering me to take her out. I think my son is angling to take over the Enfield, so probably just as well I have another bike lined up for me 😉 Haven't done the camping thing with them, but having watched your video, it might be fun - watching you and your daughter getting your "late night" gave me a belly laugh

From a wrinkly old Biking camper, any tree can be a danger in high winds Charlie, but the ones to really watch out for even in fine windless weather are Beech Trees, young or old, diseased or healthy. I've seen them suddenly drop a bough in mid summer with not even a breeze blowing. So no camping under Beech Trees, even in fine weather, otherwise our nutty Nomad could get flattened. 😄 👍

I believe one of Mick Jagger's kids went to Marlborough College too. We spent many Sundays in Savernake forest pick nicking with the Kids when we lived in Swindon. Now we live in Ohio USA and spend time travelling the USA with the camping trailer. I did take trip on my Suzuki V Strom 650 out to Utah. 6500 miles round trip. That was fun.

Nice work getting through the flood. What I do is ride as close to the centre white line as possible. As I have found there is very rarely a manhole or drain there and when the road is that flooded you cannot be certain that its not coming from below and has lifted the drain or manhole cover. If it has and you go down it - game over!!!!

Great video, lots of fun! Quick tip to stay warm tho, invest in a decent camping inflatable mat with a good R value, blow up mattresses are very cold to sleep on due to there being so much air inside them and little insulation, so comfy in the summer but won’t keep you warm
