I am doing my responsibility as the man of the house financially, yet I still clean my house, shower my kids, take them to school, and take extra classes because I work from home while my wife goes to school. If you want to be a King Kong as a man, you have the forest to live in or head to the zoo. Nigerian men have to be taught over again. This is abroad, where everyone is stressed, including your wife, so you don't sit on the couch watching football matches while she goes to work/school and still expect her to come home to cook for you. Go on the food cooking network to learn and drop all your useless and worthless pride in your pockets. I cook for my family by learning from the food network since we moved abroad with no regrets. It is my family. If I don't take care of them, who will?

You are completely spot on with the fact that the problems Nigerian women face in the hands of Nigerian men is fueled by Nigerian women because these men are encouraged mostly by their mothers, sisters, aunties etc. How wicked can people be to think that anyone has the right to take another person's life. The people making the comments you read are most likely capable of taking a life. Those who know them should be weary of them. All this I am the man nonsense, growing up in Nigeria, my mother was not the one doing all the housework. Helps and relatives were usually there to help out so I don't understand how anyone think that their wife can do all the house chores abroad. And then, to make it worse, these women are also working. If a woman has to do all the housework and still earn money for the family, then the man should be ashamed because he is useless.

The rate at which women die at the hands of their supposed "husbands" or "lovers" is MUCH higher than the reverse (men dying by their woman's hand). This man sings most of the nursery rhymes while working and we laugh at him and then jokingly I asked him why is it always kids songs, he stated that he can’t not even watch his own channel at home,e because when he is home with the children he joins them to watch their own channels. He bath and dress them to school most days. He still respect his wife as they are colleagues. Some African men are really terrible with their own children and disrespect their wives.

💯 People don't know. It involves many unknowns; sadly Nigerians only dwell on the financial gains that comes with Japa. You may gain the economic benefits (after lots of hard work), but it is incomparable to the psychological impact a different environment brings. Its mind-blowing the depressed, anxious, envious, unsettled minds I see/ hear even among supposed Christian couple. Never shown on Facebook or Instagram. But they will quickly display the mortgaged homes and expensive car. A lots of people are unhappy. After living overseas for more than a decade, I now understand the meaning of these words: "A man's life does not consist of the abundance of things he possess..." Each country has their positives. Anyone with a critical mind will quickly realise that despite the gloom and doom in Nigeria, there exists that intangible valuable stuff. Be good. Be cheerful. Be contented. Be grateful anywhere you are. For those in Nigeria, don't ever for once believe you are less blessed or less happy than people living overseas.

Thanks for sharing this Summer ❤ This case is not gonna be the last kind we will hear about unfortunately. While we are feeling sad about this I think it’s best women begin to learn. I am Nigerian and I have never had any Nigerian man disrespect me to a great extent as I usually end all forms of communication once there’s a verbal disrespect and many are very emotional with temper issues. Now we need women to start learning how to pick husbands or better yet starts standing their ground against society pressure to be married by force. Also women need to understand that most men aren’t comfortable with women being bread winners as most men are biologically built to haunt, lead and protect. So when this biological factors are suppressed most men tend to channel this energy towards seeking extreme control from their women to feel masculine and this is where the abuse begins. Society believe all men can easily switch roles and play the house husband but I don’t believe that’s worked so far based on the deth rate statics of female partners portraying similar situations. The Law is still very lenient on these cases especially in the UK, sadly but we as women can prevent by making sure a man understands what responsibility means before getting married.

@@Avy999 Yes women are not Biologically built to be providers but women force themselves to take on these roles because of fear of being Single and the desire to have children. I have never met one woman who proclaims how happy she is to be the bread winner of her home. So until women begin to say No! Forget the fear of not being married and start demanding respect from men the abuse will keep on. Research all cases of DA and you will notice all victims have things in common, poor self esteem, desperation and fear. These men know how to pick their victims so well.

Yes, tell the truth. When they marry a white woman, they do kiss the feet of the woman and her family! Why? They feel inferior to her, they carry her bag and they also COOK. The husband cooks. Books must be written about this scenario,. So very sorry re the loss of life. Tell the stories SUMMER!

I don't know why people can't separate in peace. No matter what she did, she doesn't deserve to be murdered. In regards to culture, thankfully I wasn't raised to patch up a marriage that is clearly not working or to bear domestic abuse. The man seems to have resented her for sometime maybe from Nigeria and in the UK, it magnified.

💯💯💯💯 Facts! You nailed it. The West Indian/Island Men are exactly the same. They take their bad behavior to the USA as well and they get Checked by the Courts they can't handle it. They were the Kings back home expecting the same abroad. Both party have to work to make ends meet. Yet they still take the wives for their slave. She must do everything. That is impossible. Respectfully! ❤❤❤

Restraining order will not stop a crazy person from acting crazy. If you can move, move far!. Japa is not the problem. It only exposes people’s true color. So many marriages in Nigeria won’t last if the Nigerian system starts respects the dignity of its people, and provides services for people to not feel the need to marry to survive. Most people in Nigeria Marry to fulfill societal expectations or to be taken care of, so people marry someone they don’t like or stay in the marriage despite maltreatment just for survival.

Women, please “all men are not the same,” therefore wait/look for your spec. If you make mistake, learn from your mistake, and move on to where you’ll be valued and treated right. If need be repeat the circle until you learn enough to identify your spec from the whole pack. Responsible men exist, please do not settle for less. By the way, please work on yourself, develop your skills and talents. Be smart!

Japa does NOT break marriages. Toxic husbands and wives do! A failed marriage in Nigeria or anywhere in Africa is a failed marriage abroad. Also, a successful marriage in Africa - if all principles and practices that make it successful are continually applied - will remain successful anywhere else in the world. Period.

Until i started recording it, ...pastor said maybe i nags, and i told him it's hubby that nags, and he couldn't believe. People think it's only women who nags... when I am angry, i move to another room to cool off...hubby will keep coming to get a reaction, start singing, dancing, and playing abusive songs....his favourite is ayinla omowura

@ayodeleayodele6500 that is where people get it wrong....verbal abuse is the common reason for depression and suicide. Many people are sensitive and can't absorb some words. Taunting and bullying your spouse, friends with words could trigger them. A young girl jumped into a river bcos some bullies called her fat.

It's only funny to me becos, what ur husband is doing is what women do to their husbands while men are known for DV. That's why the ppl u are reporting to find it difficult to believe u! But if u had said he's beating u, they will easily believe you. Either way, none of the two is good!

This marriage was over. Her husband was abusing her and beating her in Nigeria, why would you bring a man to the United Kingdom who was unkind to you? To the man too so nobody advised you that the way your treat women in Africa will never work here? My neighbor wife is a psychologist. He took care care of his children, cleaned the house, did all the shopping while his wife completed her PhD, by the way, he graduated with an engineering degree from the university of Maryland too oo. Faithful to his one wife, dedicated. His wife just told him , if he wants to quit his job , he can. It pains me when a woman dies and leaves her children. Marriage that force. Why would any woman be with a man who treats her badly and cheats on her In America? The man has already shown you who he is? Be there suffering and smiling because of social media. I will forever remain true to myself. No faking .
