I wish Honda went back to producing full size sedans assembled back in Japan. I just returned from a 25 day trip to Asia Pacific. My final transit through Tokyo the morning I was due to return back to LAX, I sat in JAL Lounge in Haneda and was the first person in for the day. I sat astonished, watching one of the attendance cleaning all the tables with diligence, I have not seen in a long time in America. This lady cleaned every horizontal surface in the entire lounge with everything she had and I was very impressed. If I had 10 of her back in the US, I would dominate my market. I complemented her on her work ethic and she looked at me curiously. She humbly said back to me,”It is my duty.”

1. Please don’t romanticize foreign countries. I have lived all over East Asia for many years. That’s one thing residents can’t stand foreigners doing 2. You should remove the part where you say “if I had ten of her” .. that’s essentially slavery. They don’t want to be yours. 3. I think you meant to write “attendants”

Yup, they still blow us away in America as far as work ethic and quality. This will continue as Gen Z spends 90% of their day watching cats sing on tik tok...so their kids will be absolutely useless. It's going to get worse...Here at least.

The eclipse cross power seems low on paper but it's 152hp , engine accelerates to 100km in 8.76 seconds. The engine is a 4b40 mivec turbo engine , it has a small turbo that spools very quickly, which is why the acceleration is good For reference the 2024 2.5 na hyundai tucson accelerates to 100 in 8.9 seconds .the tucson has 187hp The eclipse cross is very good on hills , it accelerates up steep hills with ease. With air-condition on full blast.

G'day from Australia. Mitsubishi has been a major brand in Australia, and the fact the Eclipse Cross is built in Japan was probably the main reason for choosing our Exceed S-AWC in red. Being in our early 60's, the simplicity and reliability of the Eclipse Cross was also a consideration, not interested in a pocket rocket, has ample power and freeway speeds it only needs 2100 rpm. Tech is also welcomed, with adaptive cruise a treat. Warranty is awesome and on delivery a $1000 fuel card is also included ( 2023 plate sold in 2024 promotion. For seniors who have no more child intervention, this vehicle is perfect for two and is very comfortable. Recommended to all. Cheers.

I did my research and bought the Eclipse Cross, came to the same conclusion, but 1 major factor you didn't mention. Reliability is far superior compared to the rest, just look at service record, not the rating. Honda and Toyota reliability have suffer greatly. I was down to this, Mazda, or even tried a Hyundai. Hyundai literary fell away while test driving, overhead console fell! Mazda's GDI engine require high maintenance cost - every 15000mile cleaning to prevent carbon built up! Since I don't plan on changing car in a few years, Mazda is out as well. Forgot the downside: Mit App is so bad the dealer warn about it, I don't think it's the app itself but rather the server behind it. It only works sometime and very slow

I was at a Mitsubishi dealership recently: Even in person I could barely tell their models apart. Every thing they make looks nearly identical. I didn't know which was their top tier SUV and which was their entry level one. They all look alike.

Thank you, David. And I couldn't agree more about Mitsubishi and quality because once I knew someone with a Plymouth Arrow pickup (also called Dodge D50 or its real name, Mitsubishi Mighty Max) and despite a minor head gasket leak, ran for so many miles without any other issues. True, that was the 1980s, but if they got it right back then, I'm pretty certain they're mastering the art of quality and dependability now. I really love that "mid-sized" (sister to the Nissan Rogue Compact) Outlander the most myself! 🐇

I’m just worried about getting parts in the future, David. What do you think parts availability will be in the future?
@warcrabcyber99083 ай бұрын
Parts availability will be good, the eclipse cross has a long life cycle, meaning Mitsubishi does not change models as quickly as hyundai, kia , etc and it uses the same drivetrain in most regions . The 4b40 1.5 turbo petrol engine is used in these regions , Canada, USA, Australia, Japan, UK , meaning parts will be available and easy to find. The engine is also reliable, The 4b40 engine has been out since 2018 with no known issues. Meaning the engine is reliable compared to hyundai, kia which suffers from engine failure , some crv suffered from oil dilution , some mazda cx5 suffer from carbon build up, some subaru boxer engines suffer from oil burning. The eclipse cross also has a 10 year warranty in these countries.
