And despite various life challenges such as losing my Mother at 19 when I was already living abroad, I managed to get myself a PhD this year. My late mother was on her track to completing her PhD but she quit as she gave birth to my older sister so this year, I managed to fulfil her dream and mine

Nádia, Finland. This year I’m finally making peace with living abroad, having to deal with actual winter season and darkness during many months, and dealing with anxiety and panic attacks. I moved here from Brazil right before the pandemic, and alone. Being away from family, friends in such a dreadful and stressful moment was an incredible challenge. I’ve been learning a lot, found a family here - a dog, a partner, friends - and I’ve been healing from inside out. I'm Alice from France, and my highlight from this year is obviously my grandma's 100th birthday. She lives on the Réunion's island (12 hours flight from Paris), and her birthday was the perfect occasion to have a big family reunion and holiday, it was beautiful and emotional. I’m Marie, from Germany! My highlight this year has been finding my love for hiking! I grew up in the alps and as a child I never liked going outside much, never mind hiking up a mountain… But now that I’ve moved away from home, I’ve been missing nature so much that I challenged myself to go hiking at least once each week. And I’ve been loving it! Nothing beats the view you have after hiking up a hill/ mountain! Getting back in touch with nature has been my highlight this year and I definitely wanna continue it going into the new year 😊⛰️

Aye, when you said you collect snoopy figures from Happy Meal, that instantly reminded me of all the snoopy figures I used to have back when I was little! When I was 1 or 2 years old, my grandmama from Hong Kong always came to the mainland to visit me with goodies, and that included happy meal figures! I kept them until I immigrated to Canada and those figures were given to other relative's kids as toys. Back in the day, Happy meal figures were big and very high quality. I still remember they were at least an adult palm size big compares to the teeny tiny ones I see nowadays in NA. I’m Victoria from Montreal. The highlight of my year was when my mum came to visit me for the first time since I moved to Canada 1 and a half years ago! I took some time off work and spent so much quality time with her around the city and in Quebec. As I’ve grown older my relationship with my mum has only grown stronger and I want to cherish time with her even more now than ever especially because we had a tough relationship while I was growing up! My name is Michalina and I’m from Poland, and my highlight this year is visiting Finland, meeting my favourite Jari-Matti Latvala in his home-museum, plus sightseeing Tampere. During my stay I mostly slept in the forests in my trusty tent 😅 because I went to see Rally Finland. I don’t travel very much so every chance I get I try to squeeze as much to do as possible! Watching other people travel is also fun to me - it’s almost as I travel with them. Bonus highlight is I bought the Cities Skylines 2 game and what city map does it have? TAMPERE. Not only I got to be with him, but I was able to travel back home after 4 years, see my family, say goodbye to my dad before he died and see my mother who has cancer. I never thought I would be able to do it, because I have many chronic illnesses, and it is very hard for me to move around, let alone flight more than 10 hours straight. It was an unbelievable time.

Hi I'm Lia from Austria! 🌷 My highlight of this year is that I think I finally found out what I want to pursue in the future! Ever since I graduated last year, I was struggling to move forward. I felt lost eventhough techincally I should have a direction because I studied in a certain field before. But now, I think I want to take a "riskier" route and actually try getting into the creative field! I think it's the one thing I wouldn't mind doing for the rest of my life! And even if it turns out to not be as I hoped, I at least then am no longer afraid of taking risks and change things up if I feel like it needs to be! Thank you for bringing so much joy into the world with your videos! They've certainly inspired me to also want to make the world a more beautiful place! 🌷✨

I’m commenting just to share (knowing that i’m not available for the giveaway, i still wanna share it with you). 2019-2022 were the toughest years for our small family (me, my husband and our son. He’s 6 now 😊). The worst, i got into a car accident last year. 2023, we finally see the light. Got the house key in April (my birthday month) and moved into our own home in June. Ever since then, i watched your videos and inspired to how you deco and stuffs. I’m also inspired to do videos and i’m into vlogs nowadays (for fun). Thank you Cloudy Hills. hey i'm Julia from Germany. My highlight of the year was a one week trip to Paris, with my sister. I wasn't that convinced about the trip, but we fell in love with Paris. Especially with the louvre and of course pain au chocolat 🥐

My name is Miriam, I live in Sweden, and my highlights this year was our trip to Japan in March, so much sightseeing, nomming and shopping! My second highlight is starting art school to follow my passions rather than force myself to fit into a mould not made for me. I'm so bummed that Muji Sweden has closed down. >_< Not sure if it will open again, but here's to hoping!

Hey it's Gyslie from France! 🥖 My biggest highlight this year was to start going out and partying again, after four years of fighting depression and anxiety! I'm Ines from Croatia :) Most memorable time from this year was this June when I had a vacation with my boyfriend. It was perfect because we combined it firstly with few of his friends, than we had some time alone to explore Croatia seaside. Than we visited Pula with my friends for Florence and the maschine concert 😊 Maybe it doesn't sound so special, but for me it was those type of vacations were you never wanna go back home to reality :D

Astrid, Spain. I love the idea of making ppl share their highlights of the year. If I have to pick one, it would being able to re-choreagraph a contemporary piece with a friend after a previoud experience that had gone very wrong & being able to perform at a festival, on an open space. It made me feel courageous & fulfilled (a second, sillier highlight is finding my dream wedding dress hehe).

I am Andrea, Germany. My highlight of the year was to be strong enough to take time off to heal from a bad burn out. I didnt realise it at the time, but it was the best decision I've made. Now months later I feel so much better, refreshed, I had a very good time in summer (I was happy for the first time in so long) and now I slowly feel like myself again.
