I was here when they first (re)opened(?) (I think they always had this cafe, only the capsule is new) this cat cafe to be the hotel. I highly endorse this cafe and also spoke with the staff you spoke with on camera. She was super friendly and nice, and took the time to talk to me about the cats even though I had no intention of adopting. She and the other staff members seem to genuinely care for the cats and helping the cats socialize by talking to customers and encouraging customers to interact with the cats that deem fit (guests are only allowed to touch cats with collars on). It's not just a business for them, which is why I love this cafe so much. Tips for cafe users is to wear socks. You must wear socks to go in, no stockings/pantyhose. You will be asked to leave or asked to purchase socks there if you don't have. Second tip: go into that little room Erica went into and interact with those cats! They are some of the most endearing cats that just need a lot of love.

I support adopting your pets. I got my boi when he was 2 years old and he had a temper and no one wanted him. 7 years on and he is super loving and protects me and my wife by scaring other cats away. Pets are life. Not meant to be bought on a whim. Thank you Erica for that wonderful loving introduction and for showing this wonderful cat cafe/hotel. My wife works at JTB in Australia and has promised to book a room for us on our next trip.

I just found out that it is NOT illegal to declaw cats in Japan. That'd explain why cats in so many cat cafes have been declawed. Since this is a rescue, do they also practice declawing? If so perhaps they should consider putting a halt on declawing for the health of the cats. Finding them a forever home is nice but their health should be equally important. Just clip the nails more often. Declawing is a very cruel process as nails are part of their bone structure!
