I love how we critisize tourists when they leave garbage and block hiking trails on our mountains but when we visit their country we are twice as bad

Hey Bigs, thanks for the comment. Yes it used to drive me nuts seeing lots of smashed glass and rubbish back in Wales and Australia, but in most cases it was done by the locals. That's not to say that japans locals are sqeauky clean, but i think people should have pride in their own countries not to liter and respect in other countries when visiting .

Thanks for the comment Nature! Ye it is a shame that services don't crack down on that. I'm an advocate of freedom of speech, but actively causing trouble for clout should not be given a platform.

Thanks for the video highlighting the bad behaviour. Local foreigners cringe when we see these kind of things happening. I too agree the fines for disrespecting the laws of Japan need to be heavy. There's no way out of that.

Thank you for the comment Dave! Ye, it's nowhere near steep enough to be a real deterrent. I really hope people don't keep playing up when coming over here, else it will really spoil it for the rest of us

Thanks for the comment Jhos. Ye it can be bad. people are complaining how congested certain areas are because of over tourism and visitors not lining up properly at sight seeing places.

$70???? Not near enough. First offense $250. Anymore from the same person... jack it up and ultimately get them banned from the country. It's embarrasing!

Thanks for the comment valencia! I agree, i am a bit surprised the fine is as low as 70. The streamers that do really bad things for clout really spoil it for the ones trying to do the right thing.

I dont understand why people think Asia is a playground. I hate staying near tourists in Thailand or Bali because I can't stand seeing rudeness, disrespect, and s3xual har4ssment on the part of many tourists. I don't understand the fetiche of driving without a helmet either, it's not like the helmet protects your own life or anything

Thanks for the comment Simaosimoes. After almost breaking my neck when riding my bicycle, I am a massive advocate of wearing a helmet. as for the har4ssment, i even watched a video where one youtuber slept with as many girls as possible even though he had contracted diseases ... that's really fucked up.

I have did the Mario kart tour in Tokyo many times and the locals loved us , they would wave and cheers you on / take pictures. Maybe there is some bad tourist who break the rules while driving the karts but I have never witnessed such events.

@@NightingaleInJapan Last time Johnny Somali streamed from Tel Aviv, he got himself a "nice" forehead tattoo (slash that required stitching) that cost him ~$440. Ho got on the bad side on local Ethiopians that he referred to as "second class citizens". What an irony. What's even richer? Johnny "Somali" was born in the USA (Oakland, CA) to ETHIOPIAN parents! Instead of Tel Aviv, he should have gone to Islamic part of Jerusalem and try his antics there...

I am going this summer. I hope people in our tour group are not idiots, I hope that they behave themselves. There are too many jerks, streamers and cringe people. They have no honor, history and respect. You just had elite people like jimmy say it is a playground. Rich and influencer people are the problem. They think rules do not apply to them and they have millions of followers. If they watch their social media they will think it okay to break rules in other place and disrespect. Lot of people are stupid and rude these days.

Thanks for the comment Blumars. I think it's ok to have a good time as I have seen some boisterous groups of Japanese lads at the pub having a good time. It definitely falls back to the "time and place" aspect. I read somewhere else that people weren't lining up properly around the Hachiko statue which ended up spoiling it for many people.

I hope this campaign to improve the behavior on the part of some tourists shows success and that pressure on bad tourists and youtubers from other and better behaved travelers and foreign residents in Japan adds to correcting bad behavior. I also hope the fines are significantly increased. I still remember the idiots on the subway sitting in the elderly people seating with open beer cans. Total louts.
