Actually, it reminds me of what they're doing with Wonderful (at least so far, I'm holding out that with the full starting team and a limited number of this type of monster left things will escalate in the latter half)...which isn't exactly dancing, but definitely isn't fighting, more like creative chase scenes. They have a reason, namely the monsters (so far) being scared but innocent animals so I can see why they don't want their heroes fighting them...but Healin' Good also had monsters made from animals and it was explained as the cures having to defeat them to save them, so, YMMV on that excuse.

Miracle Tunes was my favorite season, followed by Majimajo Pures. The fairy mascots were arguably the best part in both seasons, ESPECIALLY MT.

Hey SGHope, I know I’m late to commenting on this video, but I feel like it’s worth mentioning that there’s an LGBTQIA+ character in the first season Miracle Tunes, who is Mr.Kojiro, the makeup artist for Miracle tunes *SPOILERS FOR MIRACLE TUNES* I felt like from the start that Mr.Kojiro would be gay as I watched the series, in one episode, he meets a fitness trainer who hosts a fitness show, and he gets ecstatic when he sees him, even guess staring on his show. In episode 16, towards the end of the episode, Mr.Kojiro falls for one of the villains Kenji, and episode 17 picks up this fact as well, as one of the fairies Sopra asks if he’s into men, and Hikari answers yes. Plus Alm says that it’s okay to be in love with anybody regards of gender Honestly, I think it was pretty cool to have a queer coded character in a magical girl show, and while I’m on episode 17 (And had to pause it to write this comment), I’m really starting to enjoy the series, and I hope to watch more episodes of Miracle Tunes that dives into Mr.Kojiros queer codedness!

40:26 This wand featured here reminds me of a toy that I had, it was not Girls x Heroine themed, but it was similar to this, except it was with more generic fairies and dragons, I had one with a fairy in it. If you flicked it in certain ways you could "cast spells" and it "sensed magic" in your home, it was pretty fun :)

As i watch Super Sentai sometimes and also Aikatsu Planet which is live action in the first half then animated in the second half, I can see how this franchise can be enjoyed by magical girl fans in a live action sense ^^ I think ill give this a watch sometime, you have convinced me ^^ Great video as always ^^

OMG!! Always makes me happy to see other people talk about this show! I first discovered the franchise when I saw a trailer and press event for Maji Majo Pures and was instantly hooked! I actually watched the entire series as they were releasing episodes on KZbin each week (something that as far as I was aware, Takara Tomy unfortunately did not do for the other seasons. The first episode is the only one still public on their YT channel.) I also found a fansub group who did English fansubbing for Miracle Tunes and even helped with translations, as I am self taught in Japanese (hence why I was able to watch Maji Majo with no subs. lol) Although I started to fall out of the franchise midway through Phantomirage, I still immensely loved the series as a tokusatsu magical girl show and the music that came out from the various idol groups. It's sad that the franchise ultimately ended with Kirameki Powers, but it's clear it left an impression on many fans, old and young alike, and part of that legacy is preserved by people like us talking about this underrated hidden gem!

I do think RizSta is considered a Pseudo GirlsXHeroine series imo.. like the songs are still made by Lucky2.. and the 3 female protagonists also gets added to Lucky2's roster... but yeah the lack of action and only focusing on the "Dance Battle" element is a reason why Rizsta is seen different... also the addition of 2 boy characters in the team instead of being purely a girl team...

I was about to watch the Tinkerbell manga video because Athena P posted about it, but then I saw a clip of MiracleTunes in your intro and audibly went "HUH WAIT HUH WAIT HUH WAIT-" and immediately went to watch this video instead because holy heck another English Girls×Heroine fan. A friend introduced me the series and I've only watched a bit of Phantomirage so far, but it's really fun and all the music is great, Jan Ken Pon my beloved. This series is so so full of joy and whimsy and I love it so much, great video!

I remembered I discovered Girls Heroine because there was some kind of RizSta birthday card app(?????????) that they made with the mascots(?????? if anyone knows more about this please correct me if I'm wrong) and you would just record your own message of some sort and the mascots would dance with you. I never really cared about the series after that (because at the time I wasn't into magical girls whatsoever) but now I honestly think that's kinda cool that they tried to promote positivity through music and dances

@@sghope honestly it was the series I had waited my whole life for. It is a natural progression given decades of watching Magical Girls. I was raped from 3 to 6. I have always felt like more of a dark magical girl because of it. Magical Girl Site is a place of healing and will accept Girls without being perfect. I am so sad they did not make much merch for it. No good anime really gets merch sadly.
