Spring just might be Japan's MOST iconic season, let me know below where in Japan you most want to see Sakura blooming, or where you'll hide from Godzilla.

Spring is short but sweet in Japan, already rainy season now then blisteringly hot summer.

Stunning video, thank you so much! Do you have any recommendations for onsen that are also near beautiful cherry-blossom-viewing areas?
@InakaAdventure2 жыл бұрын
There are several Onsen right in Yoshino you could visit, there are some really good ones in the mountains of Kyoto as well with views of either Sakura or Autumn colors. Are you planning mostly to travel around Kansai?

Short like the Sakura season

I bet those are just native trout (ayu?), but that's just a guess. Love watching these sakura videos. I remember sakura season as being hay fever + rain whenever I actually did want to go out. Quick picnics or walks and hiding from the downpour that always came. I'm amazed at all the videos of sakura season that aren't under grey skies. Oh and I have this weird habit of walking up the hill under the cable cars and then riding back down. Is there a trail there?
@InakaAdventure2 жыл бұрын
There is a trail there, but you're doing that in reverse haha strange habit indeed.

Hello! Is last week of March and first week of April a perfect 2 weeks to go to Japan during spring season to view Cherry Blossoms? Thanks in advance and enjoy the videos
@InakaAdventure2 жыл бұрын
Howdy Jim, depending on where you are in the country yes. But the Cherry Blossoms move across the country in a wave between early feb and til may in hokkaido. But fortunately you can google "Cherry Blossom Front" and see where the blossoms will be for your trip. Japan even releases updated cherry blossom news like a weather forecast for people each year

Finally coming back to Japan from Norway after nearly four years, and I just had to go during sakura bloom. Have not yet decided where to do the hanami, but your vids are very inspiring! So I might ask for further tips on Twitter 🙂 Btw, those fish really look like char, so perhaps they are endemic kirikuchi char (endangered relict) or japanese whitespotted char 👍🏻

Japan has release the Sakura forecast for 2023, so you can see the exact dates for best predicted blooming if you search for it

@@InakaAdventure Yeah, I try to plan my itinerary to fit now. I guess Osaka/Kyoto around 31st to 5th. Definitely want to find a good spot as well. But want to fit in Kanazawa on my route this time, perhaps Shinazawa-go too.

I'll will be in Tokio and Kyoto 11.-23. march 2023. Do you think i can see cherry blossoms? Or do you know a good website on english with informations for 2023? Thank you! :)
@InakaAdventure Жыл бұрын
The Sakura forecast has been released for 2023 a few days actually, if you search for Sakura front forecast it should come up, looks like Kyoto is First Bloom March 27, Tokyo First Bloom March 22. So you should definitely see a few of them at least! Tokyo is a bit warmer from the urban heat so it usually blooms early in the city so if all goes well I think youll be able to get a couple shots of them :)

A biwa trout! :)
@InakaAdventure2 жыл бұрын
Not sure, I've seen Biwa masu before and these didn't have this much colour
@btmonz83832 жыл бұрын
It's my first guess. I would have guessed a salmon of some sort initially. Could be a sub-species or local colour variant?

Whup. Maybe a yamame. I'm am more super knowledgeable on Japanese trout. :)

Your audio sounds really great! How do you do that? My family loves riding on trains so it's cool to see the train in the video. Just this week we went on the bullet train to Paris. It was pretty nice, but not super fancy. What does Muda mean? I'm not sure I would have liked the cable car ride. Nice video!
